hi im finn. my real name is ten words long and contains sounds that do not exist in the english language
i'm a college student from the southeastern united states. i'm studying data science and environmental ethics so one day i hope i can like save the world or whatever. i don't like sweet tea and i don't live on a farm. i also haven't wrestled a deer. but i have shot a gun by the age of 12. so i can be like 25% my regional stereotype.
i often don't have the time in my schedule to actively consume media due to my multiple hobbies, not being fully open about what i like in front of my family, and horrible time management, but i'm generally open to delving into any medium in spite of the rock which i sort of live under. i wouldn't really classify myself as an "anime fan" per se - i'm just trying to expose myself to more stuff/hopefully derive some writing inspiration.
there's likely stuff here that i'm forgetting to list. i'm open to recommendations! i have an ever-expanding to-watch list of both anime and western television that i hope to carve out time for. i'm generally new to "watching shows" outside of my childhood pbs kids and nick, jr. and i think i've deprived myself of a lot by declining watching things by myself until later in high school. media "consumption" does not have to be a passive endeavor, which is why i sometimes find watching things valuable - i derive a lot of my personal philosophy from books or video games i've engaged with over the years. but i can turn my brain off as well, of course.
note that my scores are a mix of my own subjective experience of a work, as well as a descriptor of my perception of the actual quality of the work. when (if) i write any detailed reviews, you may be able to see how i break down my judgement.
if you could not tell from the profile, i'm a sci fi person :) i get the love of space guns and giant robots from my dad who loved grendizer as a kid.
