Hello, welcome to my terrible taste in anime. Please enjoy your stay.
Brief explanation of my rating system:
- 10 - Absolutely perfect: (nearly) flawless, and notably innovative or ambitious. I'm picky, so currently empty and filled with memes
- 9 - Masterpiece: nearly flawless, but may not be especially ambitious; or minorly flawed, but pioneering/extremely ambitious in some way. I probably plan on rewatching in the future. Must-watch.
- 8 - Excellent: A very enjoyable watch. May be flawed, but is strong overall. Probably one of my favorites. A highly-recommended watch, even if not your preferred genre.
- 7 - Great: An enjoyable watch, but may have quite a few distracting flaws. I definitely enjoyed watching it. Recommended, especially if in your preferred genre.
- 6 - Pretty good: A relatively enjoyable watch, but probably has very serious flaws that hurt it a lot, or is struggling out of mediocrity. I don't regret watching it, but didn't enjoy myself that much. Recommended if in your preferred genre, but probably won't be great otherwise.
- 5 - Alright: An okay watch, possibly somewhat enjoyable but probably also mediocre or heavily flawed. I could probably have done without watching it. An alright pick if you're very interested, otherwise probably look elsewhere.
- 4 - Meh: A pretty bad watch. Maybe a few somewhat enjoyable moments, but overall exceedingly mediocre or frustratingly poorly-executed. I kinda regret watching it. Not recommended at all, unless you're an absolutely die-hard fan of the genre or for completionist purposes.
- 3, 2, 1 - God, why. I completely regret watching this. Please don't watch this.
I weight production values (e.g. animation quality, music) very high. Also subtract like 1-1.5 from scores for moe shows (and Saekano) to remove my trash taste personal bias and get a more accurate quality assessment.
