Well, actually you can watch every installment on its own, but there are some character from prequels that are mentioned later and some of them have rather legendary status.
You can look at them as easter eggs in some games.

So, no there should be no problem even if you skip Macross 7 - the only thing it has with Frontier is that few songs can be heard in the background.

It's true that Macross 7 is a sequel of the first series, and Frontier series of the Macross 7, but each sequel happens few decades after.

Macross Zero is from 2004 (I think) and its story is 1 year before original series from 1982.

I recommend you to start with original series, after that watch Do You Remember Love? movie, and after that Flash Back 2012.

When you complete them in that order, it would be best to watch all other installments in order they were first aired.

So, don't watch anything from Macross 7 if you didn't completed first Macross series, DYRL?, and Flash Back 2012, and also don't start Frontiers series and its OVAs, movies, and specials, if you didn't completed everything that has connection with Macross 7.

Macross Plus and Macross Plus Movie Edition should be watched immediately after completing Flash Back 2012, or before starting Macross 7, and Macross Zero immediately before starting Frontiers series.

Hiya! ^^ How are you?
I've been very busy. I meant to answer you but in the end never got myself the time to, and then they disabled PMs. =( I hoped they would be back some time soon, so I waited to write back at you but it seems the matter will be long - it's been some time now...

Anyway yeah, I think you asked me about what keeps me this busy. It's mainly work, since I do work a lot. Sometimes during week-ends too, but only if I really need to. The economical situation is quite unhappy now, so killing ourselves working is the only thing we can do (me and my parents - everyone works in the same company).

I don't remember why, but I recall wanting to tell you that I very much like the way you write your English. I find it pretty elegant, yet easy to follow and very understandable. I think your way to write English is the finest one I've seen in a long time. =)

Now, about your question: sadly I don't know any site for movies. I've been searching for one myself, but still couldn't find any. For dramas I've found MyDramaList to be an excellent counterpart of MAL, but for other kind of movies I still don't know. You probably already know them all, but maybe among websites such as IMDB, DVD Aficionado, DVDCrate, DVD Corral and DVD Count you could find something similar to what you're looking for. I still have to check them all myself and don't even know if all of them have the list feature, but I thought I might as well tell you so you can check them out on your own. =) If you happen to find anything interesting let me know as well! ^^

Sorry I didn't answer you for some time but with my real life it is very hard for me to keep up with conversations longer than a couple of comments on the Internet right now (and how I hate this! T__T).

I can't believe we have show all back. I'm so surprised and happy, seriously! I bet you are as well. =)
It's the first time for me seeing Xinil coming back on his decisions. I'm very glad that happened, it really felt like we had a voice as a community on the matter. I still hate the idea of the show all being disabled once you hit 1500+ titles though. >_> Hope someone will make a workaround to this thing someday since I plan on having more than that someday (and it seems it will not take me so long before I attain the goal with my anime list).

Reviews are actually one of the aspects of this site I use the less but you seem to be quite familiar with it. Would you mind recommend me a few of these very good reviewers you're talking about? =)

About the lists: it depends. On the websites other than MAL I use them strictly for organizational purposes - I do not take part in the community aspects as an aware choice. With MAL it's both: I do use the list for organizational purposes, but also love to take part in the community (even though I don't do it anymore right now as I don't have any time left for that because of my real life issues). I guess you could tell looking at the number of my forum posts. =) I started to actually take part in the community only some whole months after joining the site though. Being it anime and manga I thought it was worth a try. ;P

And what about you then? ^^

PMs are perfectly fine with me. ^^ And thank you for your kindness. =)
Yes, I've seen that post and it immediately became one of my favourite ones.

I'll also be sure to check out all the site you mentioned in your previous message. But if there's no possibility of making a manga list I think I'll be obligated to stick to MAL, at least for the time being. That site you mentioned which is in the process of making so many lists all together sounds really interesting to me, I've been searching for something like this.
Damn, if I knew something about programming I'd been done my own site to list up things by now.

What's most frustrating is that this website has got a lot of potential imo. But instead of improving it Xinil just keeps making it worse.

Thank you very much for your message. I'm answering here because I can't send any PM right now (as I've written on my profile). I'd like to talk with you a bit more, about this matter and about other things so I think I'll send you a friend request now, feel free to accept it or reject it at you own will.
I've been liking your posts in that thread as well. The main problem of my arguments is that I do not have any programming knowledge whatsoever, what I know comes all from seeing some programmer friends of mine working and from personal research. So meh, not as good as the many other intelligent suggestions out there. Probably still better than what have been done recently on this site though.

Hi. =)
I've read your post in the thread about the new "pagination" update and I would like to know which other websites were you talking about (the one in beta phase and the one you mostly use) since I'm starting to consider leaving this site for real despite really caring about it and not wanting to do that until now.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
