ごきげんよう、貴婦人!

Have you been studying Japanese too and what do you like most about Asuka Langley?

That's the character a smexy Italian tomboy told me she liked.

Hi, it's been a while since we last chat at Youtube.
WOW!!! You are a Chihayafuru fan too. Who's your favorite and who you ship Chihaya with: Arata or Taichi?

Haha, what does it even have to do with Lucky Star? Lucky Star isn't actually a comedy show like everyone will tell you, its a slice-of-life about some funny teenage girls; slice-of-life series are slow by definition xD Bakemono isn't really a comedy either, for that matter!
shadowcat2323 Mar 22, 2011 11:24 PM
Bakemono is, without exaggeration, one of my favorite works of fiction ever. It takes the tone and structure of previous SHAFT works and uses them for something worthwhile-- a story about growing from a traumatized child to a functional adult. It is really a beautiful piece of art, I would recommend it to pretty much anyone.

Haha, you give me way too much credit. Everything is up in the air until I know how much money I'm making, how much support I can count on from my parents, how much financial aid I can get for this school, etc. But thanks :)
shadowcat2323 Nov 11, 2010 12:42 AM
Haha, not to brag but I graduated with a GPA of 4.02 and my best subject was English. I'm actually not in school right now but once I go back I'm going into Elementary Education. I just found a job and I'm going to use it to pay off some outstanding student debt and then find an apartment and hopefully I'll start college next fall.
shadowcat2323 Nov 10, 2010 11:41 PM
Well, you see, when The Count was originally adapted to English it was done by a very conservative translator who cut all the objectionable content from the original, very edgy French work. And it wasn't until decades later that it was properly translated and by that point the original "translation" was hugely more famous and was readapted several times into a less and less adult story.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
