Nail on head I am 48! I watch a lot of anime its my escape, I have a lot on my plate in RL (full time carer, very ill partner and a pile of other shit). So anime is a way for me to escape, never really one to think about age groups to be honest i have friends that range from 20 to 60 so its just a case of if we click we click.

I watch Ecchi because I find the humour amusing.
I watch Rom-Coms cause its nice to remember my younger days
I watch Iskeki/etc cause im a fantasy junky (D&D DM for nearly 30 years now).

I Just love the unfiltered-ness of anime in a world where every one is so careful about not offending people or saying the wrong thing, life is boring if you go though it that way.

I watch a lot of stuff and yea I talk about anime a lot with friends, missus even watches it sometimes, my kids all watch it so yea I'm a bit of an odd one in my own age group but then I don't really care lol never tried to fit in, prefer to be myself.

I have strong belief of enjoy the things you like regardless of what other's think, so long as you not doing any harm to any one live and let live.
