what anime made you like anime???
I like all genres except yaoi and I'm not to fond of mecha (though there are exceptions) my fave genre is yuri.
I watched 6 episodes and didn't like it at all cuz I couldn't understand the game & I don't understand it much now either but it's still cool with all the special powers.
as you can see I'm a Saki lover,I love the Miyanaga sisters equally.
The thing is, the last time I checked, neither of these Anime have any simularities when it comes to setting. "One Piece" takes place in an older era and upon the high seas, while the other one takes place in a modern era on land and in towns.
Setting involves place within a story, and the stuff you describe in your recommendation have nothing to do with place. Instead, they have to do with characterization plot elements.
