wow. That's interesting at least. I can't imagine everyone wants to do it I wonder how those kids who hate anything military deal with it ..

Myself I dug myself into a shitty life situation (at 24 years of age) so I did some research for a while and there's some pretty good benifits with joining the military, huge for me is that since I finish undergrad college (at 22 years of age) I can go in with advanced pay grade and a huge signing bonus to help pay off my debts lot faster than some shitty retail min wage job . Also since food/housing paid for by the military I can potentially save a ginormous amount of money if I live frugally and don't go out much or buy gifts for myelf frequently.

There's issues I have with super confined spaces (In navy ships) , lack of personal space (forever roommates in close proximity until you are certain rank then you can live in your own house/apartment) , and being ordered around all the time all irritate me about the military but I hope they just end up being minor annoyances to me. If nothing else I told myself If I end up hating it I'll just leave after my first enlistment. At least that way I'll have saved quite a bit of money and get some valuable leadership and work experience to help me find higher paying jobs.

does that mean you live in a country where there is mandatory military service? I'm probably doing one enlistment in US Navy starting next year.
