claymore's finishing soon :P boohoo. and i read about the manga plot on wiki and apparently the anime is going in a different direction to the manga after episode 22-23? such a shame. but i reckon the anime rocks heaps already so it doesn't matter all that much.
i'm a little sad that the sasori vs sakura/chiyo fight has ended. sasori has got to be one of my favourite antagonists haha. you're keeping up with the manga right? it's getting good again, revealing all sorts of secrets about akatsuki. can't wait for the next chapter! =)
also been watching Hana Kimi j-drama! addicted to Otsuka Ai's "Peach", the ending theme to the drama. haha. i know you said before that you don't watch much asian dramas, but you try some! coz some of them are equally entertaining as (if not more than) anime.
haha, have you changed your mind about anime movies yet? :D
oh and don't bother with most of those naruto, bleach, and one piece movies! or any of the movies from any mainstream anime series that doesn't continue the original story. i think them animators don't want to spoil the original plot in those anime by introducing new plot development, hence they come up with their own side stories with new characters, which usually don't live up to the standards of the original plot. especially the one piece movies! they suck so much it's not funny!
the 1hr naruto episode was awesome! how cool was the part where chiyo-baasan and sasori fight using their human puppets!
hmm, do you like ghibli films?
sasori is way cool yes! too bad he's a villain haha! yeah i know what you mean but i still watch shippuuden with anticipation coz i just want to know how much better (or worse) the manga material is when animated. and i agree that there's just no element of surprise anymore, though it's still a good story and i really wouldn't mind seeing it for the 2nd time.
ohh i see. ok then i'll be waiting for your opinion =). haha you mean the chibi mafia dude? yeah he is kinda funny-looking... but there are other cooler guys around right?
well slam dunk is pretty old, hence the crappy animation? but yeah i think the comedy makes up for it.
as for claymore - agreed! i wonder when raki will be back in the picture with clare again.
omg NARUTO! sakura and chiyo baa-san vs sasori fight is finally here! haha i've been waiting for that fight for ages! well, ever since reading it in the manga coz i thought it'd really be interesting when it's animated.
hey you're watching hitman reborn! is that good in your opinion?
well i reckon saito feels for louise definitely, but probably doesn't want to admit it yet? and it's obvious louise has totally fallen for saito but gets jealous easily coz of saito's pervertedness haha! them two just don't wanna say what they really feel and i think that's how the anime keeps going. it'll probably end when they both confess or something. and you're right, them going back to japan would be interesting!
haha sports anime can get repetitive at times, though i like it coz the characters are usually quite fun to watch! though it might not be the thing for you so yeah.
i didn't see any anime in the new season that seems like it was worth watching, though i did try out zombie loan and it's okay. xxxholic is quite good if you're into fantasy/supernatural stuff and some wacked comedy! haha and i think when i first watched azumanga daioh i hyped myself TOO MUCH so the show didn't seem as good, but it's still quite funny! :D
oh oh are you keeping up with claymore? you reckon there's some kinda big conspiracy between the male heads of the claymore organisation and the awakened ones? i do! :D
i'm fully rooting for saito and louise! and i reckon they're gonna end up together (fingers crossed!). if you've seen the first series then you must know how much they've been through together already. and if they still don't get together after all that then it'll just be too cruel? well, the worst that could happen is that saito returns to his own world and leaves louise behind... but i'm hoping it wouldn't end like that! yeah that weird glasses scene is a crack-up for sure!
eh? really? then you should try some out! if we share similar tastes in anime then you might end up liking sports anime too! i've loved Slam Dunk, Hajime no Ippo, Prince of Tennis and right now Major! it's the combination of the comedy and rivalry that i love! they have the typical shounen trait: the characters make the impossible possible. i can't really explain properly but i just love sports anime. well, except for Dear Boys coz i thought that was just a bad rip-off of Slam Dunk.
my friend told me to look forward to luffy's 2nd gear so that got me excited too. and when i saw the scene where he smashes the huge steel(?) door to the undersea tunnel and he turned chibi, i seriously thought his 3rd gear was gonna to be him in his chibi form? haha
ooooh zero no tsukaima! i watched the 1st episode recently too! it reminded me of the first season very much. the scene after he woke up from his nightmare and hugs louise is so cute!!! 8) nah it's not ecchi coz there's no naked boobs or panty shots, it's just got lots of fanservice haha. i don't mind fanservice as long as there's a good story or lovable characters, but i hate mindless fanservicing.
i'm watching Major right now! i don't know if you're into sports anime, but if you are then i suggest you give it a go! it's an anime about baseball :D it's like, if i'm watching a sports anime i tend to wanna go play that sport! too bad there's no decent baseball fields around hahaha.
short comment today. :)
maybe you like air gear because of your previous skating experiences? i think we all find it easier to like things we relate to! ;)
yeah it's a time issue!! damn i wish i could stop time, watch all the anime i wanted till my eyes couldn't take it anymore, then restart time to resume everyday life. hahaha. when i download full series i usually finish them properly because, well, i'm cheap and i don't want to waste the downloads. but if they're borrowed from friends then maybe if i really couldn't stand it, i wouldn't bother finishing it. i find wikipedia has too much spoilers and if i'm not careful, i end up spoiling a great series for myself so i stay away from it until i've actually seen the series. when i search for new anime i stick to ANN and maybe people's opinions from random forums. (oh, and any strong recommendations from friends.) sometimes that backfires on me as a series might not be exactly what i've expected it to be. but most times i've ended up liking my choices. :D
oh no! haha well i hope you didn't flunk that final! maybe it wasn't such a good idea recommending a great series to you when you have exams. and thanks for your opinions on gurren lagann, i'll think about it :D hehe.
i watch asian drama for the bishounens and the bishoujos. (haha you know what they are right?) oh, and the nice storylines :P. yeah i'm very out of touch with western tv shows too, but i do watch ugly betty from time to time - don't know if that show's still being aired in america? heroes i've watched an episode or two, didn't really interest me so i stopped watching. a friend of mine loves the cheerleader -__- hahaa.
yes i was just about to mention the same thing! about our comments getting longer and longer! but it's okay, it's not like we'll always have this much to say every time. if it makes you feel any better we could always split our comments into smaller comments haha.
air gear sounds good. a friend of mine recommended it to me a while ago too. maybe i'll give it a go soon, when i get it off from friend hopefully. =)
fumoffu is gold! absolute gold! it's probably the only anime i've rewatched so many times. hmm let's see, no i don't usually rewatch anime that often, mainly because i have tons of anime i currently watch and continue to download that i never get to time to rewatch anything. only when i'm almost out of downloads for the month or when i have absolutely nothing to do, then i might rewatch some. it's basically a time issue haha; usually i don't get the time to rewatch stuff, even though i'd love to rewatch more. but i tend to not rewatch the long anime series like bleach, naruto or one piece (yet) because i can never remember where the good stuff were? like which episodes had the stuff i loved, and i would have to skim through every single episode to find those parts, so i can't be bothered.
the story in claymore is so addictive! like i just wanna watch the rest already! :D and nope, i haven't tried gurren lagann or lucky star. maybe not gurren lagann for now coz i'm not a big mecha fan. it's weird, i find myself liking the story in most mecha anime than the actual mecha fights? so if the story isn't captivating enough, i'd get bored easily with the mecha. and i just finished a mecha anime (sousei no aquarion) so i need a break from it :P. same thing with parody shows, i'm watching pani poni dash right now and it's so boring :(. it's got lots and lots of references to all kind of anime and even hollywood movies but it's just not my cup of tea? and i'm not a big fan of moe either so yeah, lucky star's not a priority right now.
i actually wanna finish the anime i have right now asap and watch some asian drama haha. it feels like i have a temporary anime overload. XD
yes i would recommend you read the naruto manga too! i know it's awesome coz i follow it right now. yeah i'm quite disappointed at the anime adaption of the naruto manga. i mean, they totally screwed up the first series with all those 200+ episodes of fillers (yuck) and now they're going so slow with shippuuden. disappointing, truly. i don't know about you, but i tend to not read the manga unless i started reading it before i watched the anime series. for example, i started the naruto manga before i started the naruto anime that's why i keep up with it, but i didn't do that for bleach or one piece, hence i'm not reading those manga. how about you?
nah i don't think gintama is like excel saga (i didn't really like excel saga that much myself). i think gintama is way better but that's just me. the best comedy i've ever watched has to be fumoffu though. :D
