My rating scale:

10: Basically perfect, barring nitpicking. I wouldn't know how to even begin to improve it;
9: Effectively a 10. It may be a 10 that is not exactly aligned with my tastes, or a show that does a lot right but has one glaring flaw;
8: A 7 that is a cut above the rest. 8+ is what I consider a great show, almost universally worth watching;
7: Basically a good show. This is my baseline for a show I enjoyed or a show that is basically well-made;
6: A mediocre show that is a step above average/forgettable(5) or a good show (7-8) that has too many flaws to overlook;
5: Middle of the line average. Barely passable. A show you probably wouldn't rewatch and about the lowest rating I would bear recommending;
4: A show that I would probably tell my past self to skip. A semi-decent show that has one too many flaws and is therefore rendered borderline bad;
3: A bad show with some redeeming qualities or a contentious show with some undeniable issues that is a bad match for my tastes;
2: A firmly bad show with little to no redeeming qualities;
1: A god-awful abomination;
