Would you like that?
Wishing you an abundance of success and happiness in all your endeavors. May this year bring you closer to your goals and fill your life with joy. Remember to take care of yourself and embrace every moment. Here’s to a year of health, wealth, and wonderful experiences!
Just read your comment and thanks for replying.
You said somewhere that you don't like the idea of people being able to read your comment.
I can propose you to exchage discord and talk there if you don't mind ! Not to get faster reply don't worry but more for privacy !
Have a good day :)
Hey it's been a long time, how are you ?
I'm sorry for the late reply, but January has been very hetic for me.I had a lot of projects and presentations to do, i even had to sleep at school in order to finish my projects on time. I never expect to even sleep at school and yeah i was basically in front of three computers to optimize my efficiency.
At the end, i'm a little dissapointed because i ranked second of my graduating class. But now i'm done with school, it's over for me after sacrificing so many hours of sleep.
What about you ? Have you been able to be done with your job ? Hope that you don't have to suffer too much compare to me.
So don't worry about your late reply, i feel like mine was worse and i can understand that you need to find a suitable time slot in order to reply properly. I'm also the same, i usually don't like to pause my answer. And when it comes to long message, i have to do it with all my commitment haha. (Don't get it wrong, i really appreciate your message, so i'm thankful that you want to have a good conversation with me)
I really understand the feeling that times flies really fast when new year approach. When the month of December is close, i always hear my mum saying the same things "it's already the new year, the last time we celebrated it wasn't a long time ago" That's quite funny.
I'm 24 already and i feel like next year i'm gonna be 30. That's kinda how i feel...
Why you do feel a sense of regret of things you have done/haven't done ? I mean for me, it's useless to think about the past and what matters for now is the present moment and to explore the different perspective that comes to you.
I wonder the things you haven't been able to do, is it because you procrastinate too much or the lack of time ?
I have a bucket list of things to do before i get old (basically before i die ) and my goal is not to give myself unrealistic goal every year but rather to highlight what I managed to do this year.
But yeah i usually love to travel overall. I have been in vacation to Poland at the beginning of February and it was really cool, i have been able to do some ski and snowboard. Have you been able to try snow activities ?
And how do i feel around New year. Hmm i would say chill or stress. I mean it depends if i have to study during Christmas vacation or not haha.
Sometimes like you, when i have no one to hang out with me i just chill in front of my computer and waits patiently.
This year, i celebrated with my family at home. Ohh, i also celebrated Chinese New year and we had a lot of delicious food.
I wonder do you have some new year resolution for 2024 ?
Currently i'm living in Switzerland for a job as a mechanical engineer, i'm glad to be there, i have a good salary and an amazing view directly to the mountain.
I have not been able to visit the city yet because i just settle but i'l show you some picture when it will be the case.
But just as a preview, here two pictures of the entrance of my workplace
Some monuments
Forgot to mention that i plan to go to Vienna, i have one of my friend who will do an internship there and it's a good way to visit this adorable city hehe :p
Oh at least you are aware that you don't like your job, which is a good thing in a sense. For sure, you need to pick whatewer job in order to buy food and also pay the bills. Have you had any other jobs before this one? And are you good at dealing with customers ? It's good if it's your case because some people are afraid to deal with people. Lucky you having some discourt at your workplace :p
But what motivates you to be a dental technician ? Hope at least that you will enjoy your new career :)
And are you thinking about retirement or not yet ? Seems a long way for me unfortunately...
So you move out when you were 24 (currently my age). I never had the opportunity to move out from my parents house, which wasn't that bad honestly. I mean i was near the school and it allows me to save a lot of money. If i had to find a new flat it would be so time and money consumming.
I remember that you planned to go to Canary Island with your family, not sure if you have been there yet or not so tell me.
In any case, i find it good that you're an independent person who can manage herself. I know some people who are 29 and they still live at their parents jobs and don't make the effort to find a job to bring at least a little money.
Would you define yourself rather as a responsible person or a messy person ?
Conflict inside family is very common and that's normal that at some point you want to get some distance. It's understandable.
But i can recognize myself when you said you're diplomatic and conflict avoiding, it's such a pain to have to deal with them haha.
Howewer, how do you manage to still in good term with your brother and mother ?
And how do i get along with my family. I would say i get well, i don't have to com plain about them. I have a big family, 2 brothers and 1 sister and i'm the eldest.
I wouldn't say we are the perfect family, i know if i have a problem i can trust them. I'm not very talkative with my father ( he is rather a quiet person) and my mother is always worry that i lack something. They work hard to earn money to feed us so i would say i'm grateful for that.
For example, i had a problem with my car (battery problem), i call him and he assist me through video call to help during all the process.
Which person will you ask assistance if you have a problem in life ?
So now, with my siblings i think i get well with my last little brother, he is 10 years old younger than me. I get well with him but he is happy that i move out because i used to scold him for playing too much video game. I even hide his nitendo switch for almost 2 months and he was angry at him through phone.
With me other brother (22yo) and sister(20yo), we are kinda introvert into each other but they are mean (in a joking way) saying that i'm the most troublesome among my family haha.
How people close to you would describe you ?
Yeah sleeping in tent is super uncomfortable, but when you go to vacation with friends or family, it's a good experience to have because you are out of your area of comfort. This helps to create a certain cohesion, but the great thing is to make fire camps.
That's wonderful to hear that you've decided to go on holiday with your family and capture those precious moments through pictures! It's true that as time goes on, we often come to appreciate the value of these mementos more and more. It's never too late to start creating a visual record of your memories.
Hmm i wouldn't say i take a lot of picture of myself, but it happens from time to time. It's rather my mum and sister job to take a lot of picture of everyone. Guys are lazy in my family lol.
Did you lack confidence when you were in elementary and high school ? That was the case for me i was super shy. Well, i guess it's especially during teenage period that physical changement occurs and it's difficult to accept for some people their body.
But yeah i'm sure you get a glow up so now you can brag about yourself in front of everyone haha :)
That's good if you feel safe on your way back to home. Unfortunately that's not the case for people (especially women) in Paris.
It's kinda ironic your friends go to bed early while you barely manage to sleep before 1 am. How is it possible ? I mean friends have an influence on our way of living.
Do you sometimes hang out with your friends at a pub or restaurant in order to chill and talk about life in general ?
And no i wouldn't say i often go to parties, i would say once every two/three weeks, depending on everyone schedule. Adult life is busy for everyone.
To be honest, i'm not worried when i came back at home, i'm used to Paris nightlife and that sometimes i can see some weirdo. I just avoid them.
On the other hand, me and my friends we accompany our friend girls on their way to home in order to make them safe. You never know what we can encouter especially as a girl.
Do you see a lot of homeless people in Austria ? I think that kind of person is the hardest to deal with because they beg for money and not making eye contact, ignore them is just painful to me.
Well i just finished school 1 month ago and it's such a strange feeling. The pressure of the exam and project schedule is done. I will never have to deal with it.
Howewer, i would say that life work is kinda exhausting, i'm doing more than 40 hours per week. Although the salary is just 3 times what i could have in France, the time you invest into a project and all the responsabilities you have to take. At the end of the day, i'm just exhaust when i came back home and just want to do nothing. Unfortunately, i have to do the daily task such as cooking, cleaning and laundry.
I'm also kinda feel nostalgic of my chill day during school. Did you feel the same ? And do you miss these old days?
Wow you must have an amazing chilhood, having a big garden with two hills near your elementary school. It sounds like you had some wonderful winter experiences during your elementary school days in Vienna! Building snowmen, sledding down hills, and appreciating the snowfall by lying down and looking up at the sky sound like delightful memories.
Ohh i used to do the same as well, lying in the ground and looking at the sky, it's just the best during winter when there is snow.
Have you already had bad experience with winter ? For me, yes that was durign a snowstorm when i was in Montreal. At first, i was excited to explore the winter then but at the end, it feels like lockdown but i can"t go outside.
My favorite activity during winter is to explore the mountain and enjoying snowboarding with friends.
Wow, planting over 100 flower bulbs sounds like an amazing project! I can imagine your balcony will be a burst of colors when spring arrives. It's great that you're embracing the season and trying your hand at gardening. Even if some of the flowers are meant to last only one year, I hope most of them thrive and bring you joy. Your overexcitement is completely understandable – there's something magical about watching plants grow and bloom. I'm curious, do you have a favorite type of flower among the ones you planted, or did you go for a mix of different varieties? And, considering your track record with plants, any special tips or tricks you've learned to keep them happy and thriving? I'm excited to hear more about your gardening adventure!
I completely understand your approach to dealing with the summer heat. It sounds like you've found a good way to stay comfortable without the need for a fan or AC. I also appreciate indoor activities during the warmer months, like going to restaurants or museums. Regarding the beach, I agree that you can enjoy it without necessarily going into the water. It's all about finding what brings you the most joy.
When i go to the beach with family, my father wants me and my sibling to go swimming even if it's too cold or hot. He always said, "we came here all the way for the beach, so just enjoy it"
As for me, I don't have a specific routine during summer, but I do enjoy spending time outdoors. France indeed has some beautiful beaches, especially in the southern regions like the French Riviera. I like to visit them occasionally, but I'm also open to exploring beaches in other countries. Each place has its unique charm. Do you have any favorite beaches, or are you open to discovering new ones during your holiday?
In France for sure i have been to many beaches but don't remember the name, i have been in Barcelona ( Spain) and Miami too.
I appreciate you sharing more about your Christmas traditions. It sounds like you have a close-knit and supportive family, which is wonderful. I'm sorry to hear about your dad, but it's heartwarming that you, your mother, brother, and aunt are there for each other during the holidays.
And yes, I can totally relate to the 'first-world-problem' of indulging in too much delicious food during Christmas! It's hard to resist all the festive treats. Christmas can get quite lively and chaotic, but it's always filled with love and laughter. What are the food you get during special event such as Christmas or New year ?
It's interesting to hear about your decision to leave the church. I'm a Buddhist and an atheist, it may seem strange but I go to religious ceremonies with my family and at the same time I don't believe in the existence of God.
You asked me if i have siblings, i think i introduce their age above, so i think i will describe how they do briefly.
My little brother works as a software engineer, designing websites and mobile applications. My little sister she's studying business and my younger brother is going to high school.
What do your mother and brother do for a living? I don't know if it's your older or younger brother.
Well it's normal that when you are young, you still influenced by the advice of people older than you, that's normal ! And nowadays, it's normal to see some women who don't want to have children. I even have some friends who don't want to have children. For some it's because they don't have the paternal bone in their body, for others it's for environmental reasons. On the other hand, i have friend who are kinda "in a hurry" to find a partner for only breeding purpose. For these girl, they are afraid of reaching menopause. Howewer, it's understand that you want to focus more on your own interest and hobbies ! That's cool !
And not gonna lie to you, sometimes kids can be a pain.
But what your partner think of the fact that you don't want to have children ? Does he respect your choice and support you?
I think it's important to talk about that kind of stuff. For example, if the man wants to have children and not the women, it can't be compatible.
Oh it's great that you have a good circle of friends. I guess you have a good social life. Personally, i'm still at the age in which, i lose some friends and gain some other because we lose contact over time. Some starts to build family, other decided to work abroad and everyone has their life busier.
Have you already been dissapointed in friendship ?
And i'm sorry that you can't talk about BL stuff with me haha.
Your balcony garden sounds like a wonderful way to bring a touch of nature to city living. I totally get the mixed feelings about watering plants – it can be a bit of a chore, but the reward of blooming flowers makes it all worthwhile.
Your choice of flowers, tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and crocuses, sounds delightful! I hope they bring a burst of color and joy to your balcony in spring. As for a favorite plant or flower, I can't pick just one, but I do share your admiration for carnations. They do have that unique charm, almost like the rebellious cousins of roses! Do you have a specific color of carnation that you prefer, or do you like them all equally?
It sounds like you have exciting plans for the future! Moving to a bigger apartment in the city offers a great balance between space and urban convenience. I completely understand the appeal of avoiding the maintenance that comes with a house. Apartments can be more manageable in that regard.
Living in the city offers the vibrancy of culture, entertainment, and easy access to amenities. On the other hand, the tranquility and space of living outside the city can be appealing for those seeking a more relaxed environment.
As for me, well, I think i will start to buy an appartment with my sibling in Paris but yeah when i will have my own family, of course i would like to have a house.
I mean having a nice garden, outdoor crafts and having animals in the future is better. Living in the city offers the vibrancy of culture, entertainment, and easy access to amenities. On the other hand, the tranquility and space of living outside the city can be appealing for those seeking a more relaxed environment. In the future, i plan to live in the city so yeah.
What aspects do you enjoy most about city living that make you prefer it over a suburban or rural setting? And do you have/plan to have animals in the future ?
In my flat, i have to take care of 3 cats and 3 dogs. But i think i prefer cat personally haha.
Here the picture
I also love Greek and Roman mythology, that's nice at least we share something in common haha. During my teenage periods, i used to read a lot of the stories but now i forgot a lot of them. Do you have some favorite mythology story ?
I have watched Hercule a long time ago and to be honest with you i don't even remember, but yeah it's quite old now. I think we should have a remake.
It's indeed a unique take on Greek mythology, blending humor, adventure, and memorable characters. Megara's character stands out with her mature and sarcastic personality, making her a refreshing addition to Disney's lineup of female characters. The dynamic between her and Hercules adds an interesting layer to the story.
On the other hand, do you have some Disney character that you dislike ?
But what I find increasingly interesting about Dinsye is that, over time, the female character no longer occupies the role of the one waiting to be saved by Prince Charming. Now, she's more in a role where she takes action and decides their destiny.
This has enabled young girls to emancipate themselves and gain self-confidence.
Damn, as for Anastasia, it's wonderful that you have fond memories of watching it on VHS in kindergarten. "Once Upon a December" is a beautiful and haunting song, and that ballroom scene you mentioned is visually stunning. That's why i enjoyed Anastasia, i think it's the most watched Disney Movie for me.
I appreciate you sharing your experience with managing your sensitive stomach and dietary restrictions. It's clear that you've made thoughtful adjustments to your eating habits to accommodate your health needs. It's great that you've incorporated a variety of nutritious foods like vegetables, fruits, fish, and white meat into your diet. Is there a specific reason that you started to eat less meat ?
It can be challenging to navigate dietary restrictions, especially when dealing with conditions like gastritis and iron deficiencies. It's important to prioritize your health and find a balance that works for you.
Personnaly, since i was a kid, i didn't have any problem to eat any kind of foods, i wasn't picky, vegetables or meat. I'm content with what I'm served.
I think the only issue is that i need more than what i necessarily need for my body. My parents says that it's good that i do sports otherwise i would be overweight.
The most difficult task for me i would say is to eat sufficiently without excess.
What do you usually love to cook ? Because i don't live with my parents, i learn to eat more healthy and by doing some salads with tomatoes ( nothing too difficult) and just to eat the good amoung.
Well there is also one period of my life when i hardly sleep before 1 am and when i had to wake up it was really difficult. But i think with work it start to improve little by little. One day i was so exhaust that i sleep at 10pm ( which is very unusual for me).
And then during the week-end, i catch up all the sleep by waking up at 11 am.
I think the only exception in which i can wake up early (6am) without getting tired is when i go to vacation;
Is there a specific reason that you start to have a messy sleep schedule ? For myself, it's because i used to study until 1 am sometimes. And what do you usually do during night ? Being in front of the computer ?
Not gonna lie, it's usually the computer that prevent me to not go to sleep.
I agree with you, the society today is mostly organized around early bird schedule.
For example, i don't have a specific schedule for my work as long as i do 40 hours per week but i force myself to wake up early otherwise i will give a bad image to my colleague of a lazy person.
I think i sleep fair enough at least 6 hours per day, but my ideal would 8 hours.
How much hours of sleep do you need to be in a good shape ? And do you usually take nap ?
Some people used to say to me that "Age is just a number and that over time you will feel no change at all". For my parents, the older you get the more responsability you are. I think my mother had the same as i have now when she give birth to me.
You're only 29 , you are going into your prime age , you're not an ancient at all.
But what do you mean by "losing my ability to live independently and with dignity" ? I think i don't get this part.
On the other hand, i think the same way as you. I'm also afraid of the time that fly really fast and having regret every year. And everyone goes at his own pace, life is not a race. My little brother has started working, thinking about getting married and has his own appartment soon , i can only just be happy for him. And there is my mum always comparing me to him.
So does that mean that you are someone who will look for security instead of hapiness and instability of work ?
Lately, young people prefers to work 2-3 years into the same company and then switch to an other one. And if they don't find one, they just go abroad.
I can understand that having stable income can help you to pay the bills and everything. Of course money is important.
My mother initially wanted me to work at the same company until i die. She is more into stable financial than switching from one company to an other.
But i'm glad that you have been able to look into something new about your career which is really cool. Tell me how is it going to you when you will start;
I'm afraid of getting older because i feel like i'm already at an important moment of my life and that making decision can be harder. I don't want to have regret in my life later.
Anyways thanks for shar<ing your opinion on it, it was really interesting ! No worries :)
Do you feel old or young in your mind ?
Ohh you have really nice merch !
What's the plush that is holding the Wakatoi manga? I find it super cute !
Unfortunately, i can't show you all the merch i have because i'm not at home but here some picture i got from my phone.
I have a lot of figurine and merch at home but i guess that's all i got from the picture on my phone.
Thank you for sharing more about life in Vienna and Austria. It's interesting to learn about the different ways people greet each other, reflecting the cultural nuances in social interactions. The "Bussi links, Bussi rechts" tradition sounds warm and friendly, and it's always intriguing to see how greetings vary across countries.
But in France, depending on the region where you live, you can do "la bise" four times and sometimes it might be confusing for foreigners.
I know for sure that i can't do that to a foreigner because he will find it disgusting.
Regarding citizenship in Austria, it seems to have specific pathways, and the extension to spouses and children is a common practice in many countries. The process may have its complexities, as you mentioned, and often involves meeting certain criteria.
Honestly, i didn't know that the british system count the floor, that's good to know. In France, it's the same system as you, we have the ground floor ( or level 0, in french"Rez de chaussée") and than the ground above is the first floor( "première étage")
You're definitely right, you're still young so it's not time for you to think about retirement. There is a long way for that. In France, initiailly the age of retirement was 63 years old but it has increase to 65 years old... A lot of people were unhappy about that.
And yeah i live really close to the forest, and i used to do a lot of running there which was kinda cool but during night it can be frightening to walk there alone.
Of course, we have a lot of forest, garden and monuments around Paris !! That's usually where people love to do their jooging.
I'm quite lucky to say that when i went to elementary , middle school and high school, i just need to walk 10 minutes from home so that wasn't a big deal.
But when i started university, i had to take the public transportation for a duration of around 50 min-1 hours.
In Vienna, does people can use their car easily from point A to point B ? What mean of transportation does people usually use ?
Supreme Fujoshi must be an honour for you haha. I wonder, are otakus well regarded in Austria? What are their though about anime and manga ?
It's wonderful to hear that you've developed a healthy relationship with your appearance and overcome the complex you used to have. Accepting oneself and finding contentment with one's looks can indeed contribute to a more positive and enjoyable life. It's true that many people have moments of wishing certain things were different, but embracing those imperfections is a significant step towards self-love.
Do you care about people opinion about you or not really ?
I think i can live in Switzerland or Canada because they are multicultural country. People there speak french and english which is good for me.
About Canada, i would say it's more about the living and working condition that i have been attracted. Obviously it depends in which province i work but i general i only heard good things.
For Switzerland, i'm living at the border (basically 5 min by car to cross the border), i have an amazing view directly to the mountain and the salary is super important.
It's great to hear that you've found a reading strategy that works for you with anime adaptations and manga. And yes, Astrid Lindgren is a beloved author known for her delightful children's books. Pippi Longstocking, with her strong and unconventional character, has left a lasting impression on many readers.Which Astrid Lindgren book is your favorite, and why does it hold a special place for you?
Your list of favorite male characters showcases a diverse range of personalities and series. It's fascinating to see the variety in your preferences, from the strong and stoic Zoro to the charming and endearing characters from "Sasaki and Miyano" and "Tomo-chan is a Girl." It seems like you appreciate characters with depth and unique qualities. Your favorite male characters have diverse personalities. What qualities or characteristics draw you to characters like Roronoa Zoro, Sasaki and Miyano, and the others on your list?
The French title of Wotakoi does add a humorous touch, emphasizing the male and female symbols, which reflects the essence of the series quite well. It's always interesting to learn more about the personal connection someone has with their profile picture, and it sounds like yours captures a relatable moment for you.The French title for Wotakoi adds a fun twist. Are there any other anime titles where you find the translations or adaptations in other languages amusing or interesting?
As for your self-description, it's admirable that you recognize and appreciate your caring, passionate, and determined qualities. Shyness and social ineptitude are traits that many people can relate to, and it's perfectly okay to have areas where you may feel less experienced. Life is a continuous journey of growth and learning.
Self-reflection is important, and it's great that you recognize your positive qualities. In what ways do you think your shyness and social ineptitude have shaped your experiences and interactions, both in the anime community and in your daily life?
Yeah Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 was really good. What are your though on it ? And do you read the manga ?
I'm a manga reader and without giving you a spoiler, it's just going tense and i can"t wait to read the next chapter.
Well i see that you haven't finish watching 86 yet and when i read your commentary you put in the tag, i just can't stop laughing. ( not that i don't respect your opinion, but the commentary itself was funny)
And no worries if you didn't enjoy 86 that's normal, everyone has their own taste but i appreciate your honesty.
But what made you dislike 86 ? And yeah the series continue beyond the anime, i haven't read the light novel but plan when i have time.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad to hear that you enjoy our conversations about anime and manga. It's always a pleasure discussing these topics with you. No need to apologize at all – I appreciate your thoughtful responses, and I'm here to chat whenever you have the time. Your enthusiasm for our discussions is truly delightful!
I'll be here whenever you want to continue our conversation. Take care, and goodbye for now!
😂😂
> I noticed your posts, too! You always write in red text, don't you?
Ah, no. I write in whichever colour I have up on my bio, just to match my overall aesthetic. Right now, it's baby pink.
What does your name mean?
PS I hope you're having an amazing day as well!
Regarding animation, there is a lot of talk on the internet about things going downhill, I even saw conversations about China having better animation than Japan nowadays.
There is only praise about the MAPPA studio, but if you look for something about the animators you will see that their situation is not good, working in bad conditions, due to tight deadlines and no rest.
It has already been said that studios in Japan do not invest in the training of new artists, who are generally free-lancers rather than artists with academic training. There was talk about studios only wanting sales and audiences instead of investing in quality.
This is just a summary, many have been posted and then deleted, some people don't keep what they say until the end and delete their posts, due to various reasons.
I read Magi before, at the moment when Ithnan faced Sinbad and he saw that Sinbad was ''half-fallen'' (I don't remember correctly if that was the word), I imagined that something bad had happened in the past for him to be like this, since Sinbad was seen as a wonderful person, with a good heart and blablabla.
When I saw David appearing on the day of the Inauguration of Sinbad's kingdom I was ''ah... ok, that's why he was like that in Magi'' due to him having absorbed the black rukh.
The part about slavery was something that left me depressed, she managed to break even Sinbad.
Sadly we won't see the babies: Masrur, Sharkkan and Judar animated, I don't know if the rest of Magi and Sinbad no Bouken would be well adapted, especially with the current situation of japanese animation.
In the end I finished reading with a kind of nostalgia, seeing the characters that appeared in Magi and missing those that appeared at the beginning of the story and were gone. I think things could have been worse if Falan hadn't failed. So at least for me it wasn't that dark, I expected the worst of the worst.
May this year bring you an abundance of joy, health and prosperity.
Let's welcome all the anime that comes our way, and let's read lots of manga for our own personal enjoyment.
We look forward to a year full of new adventures, opportunities and unforgettable moments.
Happy new year 2024
I watched several anime, but most have one or two seasons, without a conclusion of the story, some are very long and the story ends up getting lost, it starts one way and ends another, Nana is one of the ones I like a lot but due to the creator not having finished the manga, the anime ended missing some things, It turned out not to be a favorite.
Magi, even with the fandom divided as the story unfolds, is a favorite because of the attachment I have to the characters.
In Yuri on Ice I have no complaints, I was just wondering what it would be like if the anime had been animated by the current animators at MAPPA.
I think it was the first hentai where something wasn't forced, they were childhood friends, instead of the guy meeting a girl out of nowhere and then they're having sex, or someone is being abused or forced into something.
I confess that I went to watch it because the boys on the cover were all handsome, but I was surprised, even though the other firefighter was interested in her, he didn't insist on having something with her, usually these things lead to a (not at all) love triangle and I don't like it anymore that kind of thing in a story.
I watched the second season late at night, I ended up not paying attention at all, I'll end up watching it again.
