時崎狂三最高!!
And several extra episodes that I watched a long time ago went unrated.
Newbie (Output) Rating system:
10 = Pure masterpiece. Nothing like it. Leaves you speechless. Rewatch it 5 or 10 times and you would still consider it a masterpiece
9 = Awesome aka almost everything was perfect but as much as you hate to say, it could've been a masterpiece if not for those petty flaws
8 = Great. Unique. Appealing. Loved it. Would totally love to rewatch
7 = Good. Enjoyable. Definitely wouldn't mind to watch. Bare minimum of what one should call an 'acceptable' anime
6 = Meh. But still slightly better than your typical generic anime
5 = The typical generic anime
4 = Even below the typical generic anime, making you think why you even watched it in the first place
3 = Bad. Just bad. You regret watching it. You even regret knowing its name.
2 = You cringe the entire time you're watching it
1 = The purest form of shit
Advanced (Input) Rating system:
10 = King of the genre/sub-genre irregardless of period; 'Perfect' representation of its own true field; Easily answers "Why this, not that?"
9 = Undoubtedly special; Extreme attention to detail; Understands systematically and critically what an exceptional anime is made of
8 = Genuinely knows itself and strives to deliver the best in its own distinct way
7 = Solid concept + Solid execution + Solid use of interconnected attributes = Solid enjoyment --- ん。本当に見て良かった。---\
6 = May strike as appealing, but either not properly developed or purely experimental ------------- まぁ〜 普通かな--------------|----> ①
5 = Uncreatively mediocre; Exceedingly predictable; Borderline kids' show -------------------------- うわっ。何これ?------------/
4 = Numerous inconsistencies, e.g. plot, character decisions, overall direction
3 = Plot holes; Indecisiveness in what, why and how to deliver; Plenty of technical problems
2 = Essentially ugly in all aspects possible
1 = *not determined due to inability to yet find such anime
8~10 Subjective -> Taste -> Perception of the viewer. Reaction to what is served.
1~7 Objective -> Quality -> The details paid attention to. Disregards the viewer's ability to recognize such details.
Said "objectivity" is heavily based on the standards written in the Input Rating System above, which mainly revolve around how various aspects (i.e. ideas and concepts, plot development, character development, art and music, logic, predictability, intricate details, etc.) blend as one rather than act on their own.
That being said, subjectivity will persist to exist and ratings are to be corrected when made in non-accordance to the system.
Feel free to leave comments. Advice is always well taken.
P.S. Manga ratings are highly inconsistent and completely arbitrary (except for 9s and 10s), therefore should not be taken seriously.
