NGE does it perfectly? NGE has budget problems, there is empty scenes like Elevator scenes just because wasting episode time slot while Re:Zero extends time slot for more adaptation of novels. Superior series is already shown.

Also there is filler episodes and filler scenes which doesn't have impact on characters or story.

Re:Zero has better characters, character development, world, worldbuilding, lore, story, storybuilding, callbacks, foreshadowing, depth and everything is better than Evangelion by far.

Evangelion cinema masterpiece my ass. 6/10 at max.
