If you want to see something where the main characters is not faithful with his girlfriend try White Album, it got a second season called white album season 2 no connection to White Album 2.
It exist a tragedy called Air.
Planetarian a 5x OVA season or a movie, can't say if it got a happy ending or not, you coud check that you self.
Kannon got pretty happy ending but alot of drama as Clannad.
ChäoS serire is someting really fucked up, the new season that came out a year ago is pretty horrible. Edgy i woud say.
D.C is a pretty long runing anime based with 3x kinds of main characters, i woud say it's a drama show. But pretty childish time to tome. Nothing you really shoud watch it you don't have much of free time.
Danganronpa 3 fked up anime where everyone die.
Well it do exist a bunch of anime where the ending is not really happy. But in some cases it's up to what you think.
Hope you find something you can watch, have fun mate and a good evening.
That's why I didn't start my own thread with the same idea, since listing is frowned upon. It was fun while it lasted, though!
Rosario + Vampire is my favorite manga, by the way.
Good historical/action/adventure/romance: Katanagatari - One of my personal favorites but the art style can turn some people away. However, seeing that you have seen so many anime already, it might be a bit refreshing.
Great action (with amazing english dub): Baccano! - A thrill ride through 1930s America on a train called "The Flying Pussyfoot" (I couldn't make this up even if I tried). Also has great comedy and just a bit of romance. Colorful characters too if that interests you.
Sci-Fi/Romance: Planetes - Cleaning up space junk has never been so interesting before. I would honestly recommend you read the manga first as it's much different from the anime but both are still good in their own right, I just preferred the manga.
Mature/Band-of-Bros: Rainbow - A group of guys band together in a screwed up prison.
Twist: Gakkougurashi! - I can't say much other than it is NOT moe slice-of-life. Watch the whole first episode and you'll understand. Best to go in blind.
Manga:
Spirit Circle - I'm surprised you haven't read this yet. It's pretty popular and has a bit of everything. It's definitely worth checking out. Plus, it's complete!
True Story/College Romance/Story-Over-Art: Chikan Otoko - Don't let the name turn you away, this is not a hentai. It's actually a romance story based off the "I got mistaken for a molester" thread on 2-chan. As such, it's very realistic and mature. It's also very short. The only downside is it does have an H-scene in the manga, but you can just skip it.
Chrno Crusade - The manga is leagues better than the anime so even if you dropped the anime (like I did), I still urge you to read the manga.
Horror: Uzumaki - Ito Junji proving that horror manga can be scary and give you nightmares. By the end of this, you will fear spirals... maybe.
Light Novels:
1 Volume Mystery: Gekkou - A short but highly entertaining read that keeps you guessing throughout. Can you solve the murder?
7 Volume Mystery/Supernatural: Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria - Complex but interesting. If you like time loops, check this out.
2 Volume Fantasy: Violet Evergarden - About a soldier learning to live normally for the first time in her life. I know the anime just aired as a huge success, but I suggest checking out the novels first. It's cool to see a light novel series you've read turn into a stunningly beautiful anime.
Manhwa:
Vampire Romance (but better than Twilight): Orange Marmalade - If you haven't tried reading manhwa yet, I suggest you try it out. It's colorful and addicting. Since you have to start somewhere, this is a good starting point. If you're looking for something darker to read, then read Bastard.
Hopefully I could provide some good suggestions. Happy binging!
So you're watching Gintama that's great.
Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.
The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.
But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama.
