Yeah, you're right even my parents define anime as only sexual things like you've said and told me that Japanese culture is bad so it keeps bothering me a lot. On the other side of course anime must have a positive side, the problem is that how we actually look at it.

That's not the case in my country but some people still have a negative opinion about anime here. Quite disappointed with the fact that anime became popular just because of TikTok and some weird videos on the internet related to it. Wish it has started to be more known but in other ways. :(

We must have been in the same situation, I've also been watching anime for quite some time, when I was around 5-6, got introduced to it thanks to a trend at school. Maybe it's rare for some countries but in Vietnam, anime is fairly popular. Then I stopped watching for a while but got back to it later on.
