Hi. I understand your point of view because you're the audience the movie was meant for, so you probably feel annoyed by opinions like mine. In my review I did write that the movie was for fans. The problem is, it wasn't advertised as such. It said that even people who didn't know the previous works would be able to enjoy it. So that was my mindset going in. As this is something people can only realise after watching it I think my review is fair and is there to deter other people like me. There were many people in the theatre disappointed so I don't think I'm alone in this. The fans will watch it nonetheless and judge for themselves. I have no intention to watch the first movie as I heard the first movie had similar problems. Plus if I have to be a fan first then all the more, I'm not the audience it's targeted at. I do think a TV anime would be better as the characters could be fleshed out and it could be good. But even if I think the TV anime is a 10/10 my opinion of the movie would not change. I hope you understand my reasoning.
If you need to get ahead of your classes or you find yourself more interested in programming then you should try codeacademy. That site is the best place to learn coding in the whole internet. Better than most of the classes they take in school and uni too. Also a lot of programming related doubts can be cleared through Google. Good luck for your course.
