Problem with D.Gray Man Hallow is that it aims at manga readers and being 13 episodes long, does not help. They've skipped quiet a share of material between two animes what made it hard to connect the two.
They should have made another long season and covered everything instead of selected, rushed bits =/
I love your review about the sequel of D. Gray Man. Here I thought I was the only one who felt empty watching it. I couldn't even stand watching the first episode, it was confusing and disappointing. I can't feel their characters anymore or it's just because they all have different voice actors now? Probably not. It's just so dead. I really love the first season, but the S2 is just shallow after all. Though the show clearly have a low budget so I understand that the art is a bit off, for me.
I thought I was the only one that feels that this second season is 'unattractive' like the first season. I got hyped about this before the released but now, I feel really disappointed. The score is high for now but I don't even feel to give it more than 4. The comedy is becoming nonsense and I was like 'what the hell with this drama comedy', it is too plain and they can't even balance the scene that should be serious with the comedy inserted like the first season did. I keep watching it just because of the 'brand loyalty' that I have with the anime of the first season and the continuation of the story. I want to criticise about the art too but I will stop for now.
What you said in your review is true. This is happening because they only have 13 episodes to animate all the new mangas. So they are rushing the anime, which is bad because there is no time to spend on new content and explanations.
At least we got the anime, and the art is very good. But yes, im a litle disappointed...
