Laptops are so fragile, things like that should be avoided at any cost!!
Haha..I save my songs in DVDs like every 4 months. So suppose something bad happens someday I'll lose only a proportion and not all.
I've been busy with my project here.
Will continue till march ends and then I'll be over with it. :D
A serious problem, that's why I said it's better to have partition cause only the drive/disk with your windows that usually crashes. Songs are easy to get back..little by little :D

Well if it's a hardware then it really can't be a virus. It the long term it might be..hard to explain tho. A simple reformat can erase all these damn annoyances and make your PC fresh again but having to reformat when you get a problem is pathetic. Better to get a good AV and take good precautions from now :)
And it's always good to have someone who knows about PC things in your surroundings..like you mom's buddy. :D
Use C as you OS disk and the rest you can fill with anything you want :)
I have not watched Cowboy Bebop here. Kinda the old type anime for me but I'll watch it someday because of it's infamous popularity :P
Or simply use your laptop in places that are really aerated.
Now concerning the erasure of software, it depends on the disk you saved them.
If you had 2 partitions of C and D or more and had most of your important files saved in D, then you're 100% safe. But if C was your everything then you're sure to lose a lot of things that if they need to reformat it.

I have all my anime on DVD, it was easy for me to watch normally even in that small screen. ^ ^
