What's wrong with all these isekai/reincarnation mangas. It's like world has run out of good plots

Favorite franchise without a doubt is modern mobile suit gundam (2000-onward) (00, seed, iron blooded orphans...). One of the biggest sins I remember committing dropping gundam seed in first episode. And ooooh boy, after a giving it another try, I regret not watching it sooner.

Suicide Island was pretty bad lmao. It's like he made the characters stupid on purpose.

It's like the author was afraid to make Sei kill somebody as to not betray his ethics. At least the society buildin' and survival aspects were enjoyable.

Suicide Island could've been a blast, sadly the author lost himself within his own preachiness. The "life is sacred" was a fair point, but when it turns characters into clueless imbeciles then it basically becomes an unintended satire.

It is kinda sad isn't it, to end a great series with such a poor arc.
I have to agree that having Soma challenge and beat his father in a cooking competition would've been a great way to tie everything together and show how much Soma has improved to end the series.

Well, I can see why the comparison to One Piece is being made, as they both have very large settings. But while One Piece actually explores its world, in ToG you get "yeah those floors are actually the sizes of a continent even though only like a hundred of square meters of it were shown in the manga".
