Hamtaro is my childhood! <333
... That is all. lol Well, besides that, just an ordinary person who watches a few anime and reads a few comics/manga/whatever from time to time. Um... Chose this username since it's the one I've used the most, though I already wish I could change it... . Never mind that part now.
... but back to Hamtaro, I will forever hold the series in my heart! LOVED the games, which made me get into the anime. Mainly the games is what I love, though. Mostly up until Ham-Ham Games for the GBA. Sigh... Sadly Hamtaro is pretty much dead. Such an underrated series in general. I wish they've made more Hamtaro games. :(

But the core of the anime i really found very coiled, and in the case of this anime was problematic, precisely because it is an adventure, i don't know what you think about it, i'd like to know, but i think that when an adventure anime starts to get very slow and focus on aspects that aren't so interesting for it's purpose, as you commented: "unnecessary", ends up losing its own sense of adventure, and this is what happened to Abyss, it wrapped itself in a ball of wool and it took too long to untie. To me it kind of betrayed a little of it's own premise, for presenting such a rich and interesting scenario, but not making full use of it, attaching itself to that coastal town for a long time, instead of throwing himself headlong into the abyss and beginning his unbridled adventure fully immersed.
As for the two reasons that in my opinion were what made so many people like this anime: the "dark" and "moe" together.
Watching Made in Abyss, i couldn't help but remember Madoka Magica. Because Madoka also makes you get used to that cute climate (though Madoka already sets the stage for chaos with that serrated and discolored design, thereby justifying it's purpose to later make it dark, and making it work that way, is an "ugly fluffy "and then turns out to be even uglier than it is, which in Madoka worked perfectly).
But in Made in Abyss the characters have a character design totally and unilaterally fluffy, tooo much moe, that practically leaves no space for something serious and dark....And that's exactly what happens, the anime puts its cute chibi and big-headed characters in horror situations, with the purpose of shocking and demonstrating how that abyss is a terrible place.
For me this didn't work at all, cause i couldn't get involved and feel the weight of these serious scenes with
that design, so moe lol
So... I know they tried to contrast that design with those situations of despair, but at least for me, it had a negative effect because it didn't impact me, i couldn't even take it seriously, and the worst, even caring the characters and the story, everything ended totally open ....
I'm sorry for this outflow hahaha maybe you disagree and think i said bullshit, you can talk if that's the case. Of course, still Made in Abyss is certainly the best anime of the season, and i think that another reason that made the anime ratings so high: Lack of concurrence.
---------------------------
I think i was a bit cruel quoting Katanagatari hahaha is such a cute and captivating romance, the anime is good, it's even hard to point out some flaw, and like you said the ending really did pay off.
In the case of Naruto Shippuden, i particularly didn't like the "way" to the end, although i don't expected anything different from what happened. The fate of the story of Naruto was already defined and it was very clear what would happen in the end, although i didn't like the final stretch of the anime, i recognize that the conclusion itself was well executed. I just wanted to have more tragedy muahaha Idk.. i think that ninja war ruined a lot of Shippuden, but the final fight between NarutoXSasuke was great, and the marriage at the end too, although i expected more of that moment.
ooh did you watch LoGH ?? please tell me about your experience with this wonderment created by Japaneses xD. I rarely cry watching something, but with LoGH i cried a river, i don't deny.
---------------------------
I fully agree. Btw finished Kakegurui and was just as i imagined (actually less worse) the end didn't change almost anything of my opinion, because probably..i no longer had any hype. But with you it seems then that it was otherwise hahah this your "Supposedly" demonstrates quite deception :/
About Re: Zero ... we are in full agreement here, i found the relationship between Subaru and Emilia forced and poorly clarified. "Why exactly did Subaru decide to help her?" "Because he fell in love at first sight!?" hmmmm suspect, didn't convince anything. He should have chosen Rem, it would be a very unpredictable and "romantic" ending hahaha and quite frankly, Emilia is a grid of nothing, what character without salt.
oh my..
This ended up getting a bit long.. sorry >.<
You have seen the average of Made in Abyss? I don't know if you have watched, i do n't watch so many anime per season, but this one worth it, had two very good episodes recently, and the reviews on this are very positive, many saying that is the best anime of the season (which I don't think is very difficult).
I also think there are really cases where the last episode makes a big difference, there is no way to disagree with it if considering some as Steins;gate, The Galaxy Tatami, Madoka Magica, among others in which everything is put to the test in the final episode. In fact there aren't many animes i've seen that the conclusion hasn't influenced much in general opinion on the part of the viewers or on my own, it's even difficult to mention some, personally i think Legend of the Galactic Heroes would be a 10 even if the final episode was bad or unsatisfactory, but considering it is a huge anime, it isn't a very palpable example.
About animes that the final episode didn't change the result so much, in my opinion this case applies to Katanagatari, which had a very good end, but as a whole i don't think it was something soo good, it established his quality with the conclusion , but that didn't necessarily make it bigger than it was, but maybe that's a very partial opinion of me.
There are also some animes that I didn't like much but the end also didn't influence for me to like even less, like Re: Zero, Mahouka, Kuzu no Honkai, Charlotte, and lately Katsugeki Touken Ranbu. Those that I quoted i really liked only a few aspects, and the final episode for me didn't have as much weight for more or less. I think this will also be the case of Kakegurui, it's almost impossible for me to raise its note after finished, but i'm not going to down it either, after all it would be too much to give 1 for the anime, it's not the worst anime I've ever seen, well ...maybe it's one of.
So you were upset with the end of Kakegurui :/
I still don't saw this last episode yet and i already feel like i have to prepare for the shock hahaha I don't know anything about the manga of this anime, i rarely go to read the manga after finishing some anime... recently i realized that my taste for manga/light novels is quite different from anime, to read i prefer something lighter and uncompromising, without much movement and action, something more simple.
I've seen that the average of Kakegurui on MAL has already gone down. But i think that's a trend on this site. The final episode is always a watershed, there are some animes that only in the end to be supposedly exciting a lot of users end up giving a very high rating just because the end was "oh incredible, very nice", is the case of Code Geass, Shigatsu wa Kimi in Uso, among others. These examples are where the grade varies for more, of course. When it comes to the final episode being very bad / horrible / obnoxious, then the people who are accompanying it put down the note even if they liked the rest of the anime.
That is, there are many users of Myanimelist who give note per episode, as soon as the first episode already note, this is very noticeable given the amount of reviews that leave soon after the first episode of an anime, so people who see these reviews end giving notes for 1 episode as well, if the next episode is as good as, they keep, if it's better...they increase, if it's much worse to annoy them, lower.
People who score by accumulation only at the end of the series, or who are gradually increasing are a much smaller portion. I ain't saying that this is a reason to disagree completely or not to trust the means of MAL, but in many cases this is possible. If this was my case, and i watched the last episode today and i hated it, i would probably lower the note to 1, but for me a single episode hardly has a determinant weight to the point that i change the note of the anime, because i try to judge each work as a whole, as a single piece, and focusing more if I found it lousy / poor / average / good than focusing on numerical notation.
I didn't watch Danganronpa. Not season 1 or the sudden Danganronpa 3. I only plan to play the games.
I do agree that I wish there were more, but yeah, sadly they are pretty much dead right now.
I do like NGNL back then, though, that was years ago.
I never watched Danganronpa however I played it.
I also saw some comments on yours about taking fiction seriously. I think you are missing the point that writing a quality fiction needs serious talent. It's not just everyone who can do it. So, we, as the viewers, if we want to see the talents be praised and see exposure, giving it a serious verdict is needed. When I take a show seriously, it doesn't meant I lose the enjoyability and that is a huge misconception between casuals and critics. Although, one could argue you shouldn't think Kakegurui too seriously, it's still the same. Even if you didn't take it seriously, I will still feel the mediocrity of it. But it's trying to be edgy so I can't dismiss that. Glowing eyes that tries to say I'm insane. Ahegao faces to say we are not a normal sane human. I can't dismiss that and it makes me cringe. And this is coming from a pervert.
I never enjoyed Kakegurui even though I haven't watched a gambling anime at the time. It's that bad. I already felt how bad it is before watching Kaiji.
I'll try my luck with other shows. Maybe I'll try to make a review for Tsurezure Children. I had fun with that show. I think I can make a review out of it.
Yeah, not sure either. I don't even think anyone who did a preliminary review ever made a complete review of the show. I do think it's that hard. So, next time, I will try not to make one. The only reason why I did a review for Kakegurui is because how I dislike it. So, I hit the turbo and just made a review. So, that is also why I'm surprised you thought that was good since I just wanted to hate on it lol
I don't know. Me and my friends and a Youtuber said that it gets overly complicated. I think it's because it doesn't do any way to make it entertaining and doesn't add any explanations. I get the gambles, yes, but it doesn't give the schemes any way to be narrated. It's like "I did that, mwuhahaha". I like the narration in Kaiji (unlike some people), and gives the thoughts of the character's intention in how to win the game. It's like you see the way out meanwhile Kakegurui suddenly force a path way out.
Surprised you thought that was a well-made one. At the time, I wasn't exactly the way I am now. It was around early August where I tried to learn reviewing so as you can see why I have a lot of friends that are quite the critics themselves. If you peeked at my profile at the time, I only had around 40 comments on my profile. Now I'm at 1164. Well, if you think that's good, I'll try better.
I actually haven't even seen the last episode. Busy as hell right now. So, I can't really do the review if I do decide on finishing it.
Again, the next time I'll ever do a review, it's going to be a finished anime. I just don't think I can work around the review I made when it was airing.
