I've been watching anime since 2002 and took a really really long break....XD I don't do manga.
Although I've listed as many anime as I could remember, I'm probably missing like 10-15 more series that I've forgotten because of their obscurity XD
I lived in Japan for three years total (2007-2008, and then 2009 - 2011) and I've taken three years of college level Japanese, along with tons of East Asian Studies Classes.
I thoroughly enjoy anime and all aspects thereof. I feel that anime is the pinnacle in entertainment (aside from movies) and wish that I could be a writer for anime producers as a real job ( i have a few really awesome ideas).

May skip the live action due lots of shitty ones of recent years though.
Speaking of live actions that cowboy bebop with John cho playing Spike is gonna suck major balls n ass.
As for what im enjoying Black Clover one the newwer shonens, takes about 30-40 to take off but is probably the best one since bleach.
Demon slayer and radiant on the other hand are new and cant judge them yet, but both seem aimed at 12 year jap guys, very cliche and shit.
Still waiting for Code Geass the movie, i reckon it'll be dope.
Yep I prefer Mob Psycho to One Punch Man-same creator i found it funnier and better than the repeated one punch man theme, gets old fast literally episode 2 i was bored.
As for Steins Gate yep also a good one, quirky humour and a Dr Who like mystery sci fi series, season 2 wasn't as good as 1 but completes the story and gives hardcore fans another ova style route. I didn't really care too much for season 2 though but still a solid 7 outta 10 series s2.
Currently most fans are crazy about My hero Academia and Boruto, both aren't exciting like the old days of dbz and bleach, yuyu hakusho (those ones had good fights, monster of the week style and epic arcs) kind of why Black Clover is my fav at the moment,
The general anime fanbase is changing so much that shittier shows get popular and get continuous seasons coming out, even though they're pure shit, boruto is even worse than naruto imo.
But yeah im sure everyone wants more death note, code geass, darker than black type shows, the dude behind bebop and champloo keeps making really shitty shows now as well none of his recent ones have been like the two mentioned, they seem for target audience (jap girl boys 10-15) and Michiko to Hatchin was horrible aimed at jap older ladies (late 20s to 30's), so his sucked since champloo really.
All the good stuff like Full metal panic, psycho pass are getting sequels lately so im happy about that, and Promare The new movie i haven't seen but apparently is a spiritual successor to Gurren Lagann but on steroids so im looking forward to that one.
And would you recommend any?
