Woah, Thanks! I haven't logged in for a while, and just noticed your comment just now.
Actually, I am not that into hardcore feminism, I mean, for example, on a bus without open seats, I never criticise a sitting guy who would not let a standing girl take his seat. And I don't agree on theory about 'the guy needs to pay for his girl on a date'.
Right now, I call myself a feminist for somehow, the world is still mostly dominated by men. You know that 'good cop/bad cop' idea, right?
- If equalism is encouraged and supported, then some male population might not be satisfied as for the world is publicly and secretly male-dominating. Why would they want to lose their prior power?
- If feminism is encourage, those men would be unsatisfied too, either way. But then equalism is suggested, it would sound like a more subtle solution for them and some of them might find this more acceptable.
So the idea is to balance into equalism ( zero condition ), we need two opposite value to make this happen. If not, by only equalism is encouraged suddenly, I'm afraid the 'male' value might decreases, closer to zero, but still not.
I understand but it just irked and I blew my cork.
TBH it goes back to Clannad being a hentai VN and the anime was totally not. Why not do the same shit with SAO. REMOVE THE F ECCHI PARTS! ALL OF THEM! But alas they don't and they could have with more in depth stuff instead but they have to go $$$ and what makes.
You can't deny I am right on that one and the actually costs in mass marketing through commercials and object fabrications.
Hence let me tell you if I am not hungry and still shove the same shit to me then I will blow out and not wanting it complain over it. Hence the ecchi was like that. I got enough of in SAO for some episodes but now I got fed up of it. Some series are like that. That's just me and I am not the only one. Others also find it bad and among them like me veterans who saw loads of other series that for the most have ecchi in them and loads.
If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a question...
I can see you haven't added any manga in your manga-list, and I was wondering if you read manga or if you just haven't added the ones you've read?
The reason I'm asking is really me being curious and weird :P haha.. sort of... It's more because I've been considering "updating" my manga-list (by adding ALL the manga I've read....) and was just wondering what somebody else does (aka what you do). ^^
The quirk I have with Josei and Seinen genres is, realism and good stories are nice, but wdf is stopping you from making beautiful art?
So apparently realism means everyone needs to look retarded ugly, messed up, gore faced, monsters? For god sake, give it a rest.
These seinen and josei need to learn to make attractive or at least acceptable looking characters, which generally become legendary pieces. Hello? Berserk? Nodame Cantabelle?
I hope someone give these seinen and josei authors some slap in the face for poor character design. I'd go on a swearing rampage , and talk about tea bagging their mothers. Unfortunately that won't change anything, bad will stay bad. This is why anime is considered by many to be for kids and teens. Until they come up with some real good josei/seinen manga/anime that is. (fingers crossed, highly unlikely)
Kay, rant over. Long story short. Seinen/Josei in general with few major exceptions sucks major balls. They need to revamp their artwork to something watchable/readable, instead of me puking like I just saw some 800 pound fat chick rolling on the ground.
First of all, the recommendation was to the 1st season of the anime! Not of the manga, or the second season of the anime. Just the first season.
Second of all, the first season of TC starts with a nice sweet moment with Syaoran and Sakura. But that all ends when she loses her memory, but then they slowly start a new relationship. Although nothing big (in the love department) happens in the first season.
And GC is the same. They start the anime with a "moment" between Shu and Inori, but then you find out that what Shu thought Inori thought of him was incorrect (although it might not be). But since the anime is still airing, it's hard to say what's going to happen between those two.
Sorry if this is a longer responds then you wanted... and I hope I answered your questions.

"90% of your criticism was nice and valid, but a 4? That's maybe a little too critical? even a 5 or 6 would've sounded more reasonable. "
No, I was going easy with the 4 I gave. To me, most of anime series deserve rating of 5/10. Because; a 5 is mediocre and an average rating. It's completely logical to think that most anime is average for the reason that average really means average, it doesn't mean the show is bad nor I didn't like/enjoy it (though for some reason most people seam to think in that 5 is bad rating). To my standards Guilty Crown is below average, that's why a 4 to it is a fair (and easy) rating to it. I.e. most of my ratings are 4-6 and I use every single number on the scale from 1 to 10.
"It's like giving it a fail score before exam even finishes."
I understand your point, but nothing changes those flaws and fails that has already happened. Those are there and will effect to next episodes also. All the people who rate anime before it's finished are giving the rating from them personal experiences and based to what has happened already. I will change my rating if there is a reason to do so, better ot worse, depends what the future shows. You are in the same situation with your current 9/10 rating. I.e. "It's like giving it a passing score before exam even finishes." Self-contradictory much.
"Honestly, I was extremely disappointed with the 8th episode, where they tried to do everything, and in the end, did nothing well. "
Yes, the episode was horrible, but it was also pure fan service episode, so yeah. It was given in wrong time, to early to offer pure fan service when there is not even an actual plot (yet).
"Katanagatari question."
The ending tied made the show, it was pure gold in the name of script writing. Easies way to say it would be; "writer has balls." Ending made me feel really bad because I love Togame, she was so awesome and likeable character, her character development was also amazing like you said. Ending is the reason what makes it so good and brilliant. Here is something to think about; would the series be so awesome and memorable if it were like most of the series with happy, closures lacking ending? E.g. Togame and Yasuri would have accomplished Togame's dream, no sacrifices was made and they lived happily ever after.
And lastly this; The man who always did what Togame asked, no matter what it was, was now blinded by love and rage ignoring the last wish of his love, to revenge it all. I give all my respect to the writer.
I'm in a hurry, so no time to read what I typed. Ask if there is something what you are still wondering.
I started watching senjou no valkyria with minimal expectations, but man was I in for a ride.
I felt one of the biggest slap in the face figuratively speaking watching this show. It's been a long time since a show emotionally swayed me so hard.
Recently I've been searching for some new series to watch. Interestingly enough, since I read so many mangas with no discriminations, honestly I read every manga with a higher than below average drawing.
I came to notice I'm actually so very picky about animes.
Particularly, I am instantly turned off about reverse harems, shojo-ai (i only recently realized what this is), and main girl having multiple guy interests ( I didn't even consider the possibility of this type of series until I saw stardriver, I thank the god i watched the ending first. Saving myself about 10 hours watching a worthless IMO show).
Again, ew at shojo-ai , no offence to anyone. Ugh, just no, I almost puked at kazzanaki miko's ending. These are the times I am really glad I'm a spoiler happy guy who generally watches the ending first unless it's rated very highly with no "tragedy" label.
Well I still liked him. I hope after the SEED remaster they will remake Destiny, but that won't happen and the movie is nothing more than a pipe dream now.
I hope you like it its not half bad its just in a slump right now, but hopefully the next episode will be better since it looks like we will have some action.
