I think you should watch it just so you can pick a side, kind of like SAO, where you either really like it or hate it. I personally liked it, although there are faults with it, it was enjoyable. Plus, there's always that OST, which is perfection.
The main theme is sooo epic, there are no words to describe it's awesomeness.
I love EGOIST's endings and the openings are really good too!
Of course I have :D The SNK OST is done by Hiroyuki Sawano and he's my favorite composer, although I like Guilty Crown's OST a bit more
Thanks!!
Yessss Psycho-Pass and Steins; Gate for the win! Also, Fairy Tail is awesome (I'm currently obsessed with it)... the OST is on my list of best soundtracks :P
And at first I only used this to keep track of what I was watching, so I didn't talk to anyone or do clubs or anything until recently. I'm happy I starting getting more involved, I keep meeting new really awesome people!! ^_^
Yeah Durarara is definitely one of my favorites, I can't wait until the second season although I have to say my favorite character in that show is Izaya.
A 3 to me means I disliked it more than a lot of shows I watched, but I still respected some aspects to the show. For example NGNL I won't lie was entertaining to me for the first half, and the art and animation was amazing. I tend to rate most things harshly but I've only found a few shows I thought were absolutely terrible for example umineko. Compared to the game it's probably the worst thing I'll ever see in my life.
Gee, thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to look it over– though I expected some quarrels about the review, seeing as most people absolutely adored the series.
Yeah. I understand. Well at least you're not giving the show 4 and stuff. Anyway yeah you should definitely check out Shin Angyo Onshi. The characters are pretty deep and the art is stunning. So stunning in fact that the manhwa feels alive in a way. You should check out a chapter to see for yourself. The art isn't as good in the beginning however. I understand you point about manga though. I usually prefer anime > manga. The only manga I read are the ones that aren't animated.
Sorry for the multiple comments. I just wanted to address one more thing. You said No Game No Life is predictable. I disagree. The outcome may not be much of a surprise but it's really how they win that's a surprise. I never really expected the games to be that awesome. When I found out what sort of game Sora and Shiro were going to play against the warbeast I was disappointed. At the end I felt literally mindfucked. They managed to make some stupid ass game into one of the most entertaining battles I've ever see. No Game No Life is unpredictable in the sense that you have no idea how they'll end up winning.
Hey i can't believe our compatibility is 55%. Our taste in anime is really similar. You gave Kenichi a 10? I freaking love that show. The voices are awesome and unique. Not the generic stuff you hear in most anime. I gave it a 9 simply because it ended. I wish they had continued it. I'm surprised you haven't read any manga. Kenichi gets even more epic later on. I wish it had gotten more episodes. I didn't like the OVA's.
Since you like deep and philosophical things I'd definitely recommend Shin Angyo Onshi. It's amazing. You know there are a lot of great series out there just as good as Death Note that haven't been animated.
Exactly. Some people don't get this. My favourite philosophical anime is probably Fullmetal Alchemist as it arises the question of God and existence itself. Shows like these, Death Note etc are definitely a good time. The story and deepness in anime is something western shows are unable to provide us to the extent and quality anime do. Anime is just another form of storytelling. However coming home from a long and hard day you don't really feel like "thinking" anymore right? College really drains the energy out of me sometimes. NGNL obviously can't compare to Death Note. There two different shows. People on this site have this misconception that the fact that this show is ranked in the top 30 it's somehow indicative of overall quality in comparison to Steins Gate. Wrong! I guess that's why it has a lot of bad reviews.
I gave No Game No Life a 9 and Death Note an 8. That's not me saying I think NGNL is better. My ratings are subjective. I had a great time with NGNL that's all.
