Meh, some people like it some people don't which is usually the case for average scores in that range which is why it's probably safest to find out for yourself or just read some indepth reviews that explain what they liked or didn't like in details so you can see whether that resonates with you or not.

Personally I found Perfect Insider just not to do anything really good, but not everything wrong. It's very dialogue heavy and slow and I'm not sure why they adapted it to an anime in the first place, it seems like something that's much better in novel format because of how wordy it is. So to me it was watchable but disappointing, but a bunch of the top reviews seemed to like it so you might as well.

The issue is that a lot of people do use a score of 7/10 when they find an anime bad or average (instead of using 5 for average and 4 for bad anime) which does influence the meaning of average scores a bit. But when it comes to the overall average scores I'd still say that anything in the 7.xx range is gonna be at least decent/okay, sometimes it can even be as amazing as a lot of the 8+ shows are, but usually somewhere in the middle of that. I'd only get weary of scores under 7, tho even then when the synopsis really interests you I'd just go with it to see for yourself. Under 6 tho is just literally garbage that's always gonna be safe to skip.
