I really love that what you are about Magi - it felt so great to hear this. I was wondering if i should watch this last part with Sinbad , but your words grabbed me. I hope this will also have at some point in common with Aladdin , Alibaba and Morgiana ..... - I wish they could make one last final season - it will be great to see the big end and that final battle between this mother and her son ~

How's that Shokugeki??
nicoface Aug 3, 2016 1:19 PM
Hey so I just finished Sinbad. I liked it a lot. I can see what you were getting at with the characterization and everything. I thought that it was pretty good. Probably as good as Magi s1, but not as good as s2. It looks like they probably will make another season of it because it left a bunch of stuff wide open. I mean I don't even think Sinbad had more than 2 or his 7 djinns by the end of the show. Also some of the characters that he shows up with in Magi aren't yet introduced. Here's hoping we can get a Sinbad s2 or a Magi s3 next.. .maybe both!!

Yeah howls moving castle was one of the really great ones that miyazaki made. I would say my 3 all time favorites are howls moving castle, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and spirited away in that order xD. When I was making servers for ragnarok online thats what I was trying to do bring stories to life in a game to really bring people to another place. But part of the problem is not everyone cares about storylines anymore when it comes to games. They would rather "click, click" through without reading anything just to get the rewards and not even look at the stories. It always pissed me off because people would complain if you gave them puzzles or different challenges and cry about it being too hard because they couldn't press the Iwin button. But world of warcraft ruined most mmorpg gamers it set a definition for what a mmorpg is like. When things got hard they came in and nerfed it to make it easy so you could stand in one place and not worry about the difficulty. Even though very few people gave praise with most of the custom storylines and boss battles we made i still enjoyed playing my own creations and seeing them come to life. Especially when I went out of my way to build a storyline then bring it to life with NPC's and custom maps and models. Like some examples:

^this one was a haunted mansion that I was working on unfortunately for a Halloween event near the last year when we ended up closing so the story along with it just got scrapped and all the work.

^sleepy hallow with the headless horsemen the map textures I did myself along with some of the design which both me and a friend worked on putting together. It took about a month to make and we started a month before Halloween so it could be ready.

^ the headless horseman monster which I made it's a 2d monster that's around 150 single frames put together with around 9 different animations for death, movement, chasing, attacking, special moves ect would pretty much work on it frame by frame piecing it together then do all the animation. It took about a week to make spending around 19 hours a day XD~ The days of working on this stuff was filled with lack of sleep its hard to imagine that someone would stay up all night working on maps and npc's and stories to put something together without seeing much money or reward after it. I look back and I just think about how crazy I was LOL. Especially learning how to do all of it from the ground up not having background in 3dsmax and just pulling a guide and jumping in. Or having a background in NPC coding and jumping in and learning that crap.

So just remember when things get tough and don't work out like you want them just relax and remember the things that got you into it. Like making your own little world it will keep you motivated even if the game your creating isn't going in the direction you want it to go right away. Just remember one day you'll get to do what you want as long as you stay motivated and keep putting an effort into it ^^

I did watch 5 centimeters per second and children who chase lost voices I just didn't get a chance to watch kimi no na wa yet but it does sound good. The movie HAL was pretty good too by Izumi Kizara. That one was worth watching and a few others such as the girl who leapt through time by Satoko Okudera who also wrote summer wars, wolf children, and kiki's delivery service. Its just a challenge because you have to like hunt down anime movies worth watching because some writers just don't have the same magic as others. Hayao miyazaki always did a really good job of giving you the feeling that your in a magical place and developed really good likeable characters and story-line.

Maybe someday you'll have over 9000 friends you never know. And gradz on the game creation job making games is pretty rough though the only experience I really have was making custom things for the game Ragnarok Online. I ran private servers for around 8 years and taught myself how to do 2d modeling 3dmodeling and some coding and such. Hopefully your experience with it is a good one. I honestly never want to get into gaming because unless the company your working for is really good the amount of stress and the hours put in isn't really worth the small to no reward. With the exception of working for maybe a globally recognized game company such as riot or blizzard. As for Hayao Miyazaki i wish he was still making films cause the wind rises and from up on poppy hill where both really good movies as his last works but there's really not a whole lot of good anime movie companies still producing.

Thanks for accepting my FR lass, cheers. :D

Ohhh, sorry to have misunderstood though... It is really amazing that you can take inspiration from anything you can see and hear. I would love to have that. Hahaha By the way, in what stage are you already in your development of those games you have previously mentioned?
_Solace Jul 9, 2016 10:42 PM
So you are inspired to make games because of the inspiration of watching anime? It is quite odd. xD Sorry to say this, but I have thought you are making a visual novel first. xD

I'm not really big into video games myself but they are interesting :3. My favourite type of games are games where you have creative freedom. Like building things and making characters. Sort of simulation games in a way. I really love the Sims and stuff like that :D. I really like creating my own things like art and writing so yeah :).
Oooh a 3D platformer. I really like those :D! That's awesome! I love dogs too :3. I really want to have some when I get older :).
Abiibi Jul 9, 2016 6:33 PM
That's awesome! I hope everything goes well for you in the future :D! I've never really played a FPS in my life XD. And the dog game seems so interesting! It's a really cool concept!
nicoface Jul 9, 2016 6:05 PM
Ya it gets crazy for sure. How did you like Boku dake ga Inai Machi? I was going to check that out very soon. Only heard good things about it.
Abiibi Jul 9, 2016 3:11 AM
Hi! Thanks for the friend request I happily accepted it ^-^! I also like to write and I love art as well :3. It's so awesome that you're making video games! The ones that you're working on seem really cool! How are those coming along?
nicoface Jul 9, 2016 1:39 AM
Ya I started right where the anime stopped. It flowed perfectly into the manga, s2 of Magi does a great job of following the manga to perfection. I think they have plenty of material for s3 actually. Actually probably has enough to do half a season after 3. The manga is currently on the final arc, the creator announced last year. So it will be ending in the next year or so.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
