Hi, we don't know each other at all but I found you on https://animeadvice.me/neighbors/ayaros and I must say your taste is of the most exquisite kind.

Hello there!
May I ask what series your profile picture is from? :)
Keiko-sama Sep 7, 2012 11:54 PM
Well, it´s no wonder... France has a long history with comics as well. Not this superhero stuff, rather more some deeper stuff and more arty.
Italy I would count as second in europe, they do have quite a favor for Donanld Duck, as well as the German do.
You find in Germany some really serious guys calling themselfs "Donaldist" and writting philosophical books and articel about beeing "Donald".

Manga is not such a big deal over here, because it´s not grown up enough. You know we are the country of Goethe and Schiller and so on... So you can not call drawn stories adult and having something important to tell.
On the other hand manga is not artistical enough to compare with the franco-belgian comic art or the "real" art.
Quite "Old fashion", you know...

THX for that link, for sure I will check out that. It really looks promising.

Oh, well I found it!

This really was bugging me. I knew there was a manga with this cover ;).

Well, well, it´s France and they do have quite an tradition with comic and art, so I must admit I didn´t wondered that much. Next to Italy has France the most Otakus whatsoever in Europe.

Thx;), in the first place...

I must say the next season looks like it´s going to be the best of this year. What a pleasure! Untill this day I could not find any On-Going series which was really satisfying. For sure it will change now^^.
Did you watched the Midori anime?
Keiko-sama Aug 8, 2012 9:31 PM
I must say, I can´t help myself. I simply have to send you a FR, after reading your recommondation to "Litchi Hikari Club" and seeing your "Midori" Ava. It is very seldom to find one with such unique taste and I´m pretty sure you looking foreward, as I do, to the anime addaption of "Hikari Club" & "Jojo´s bizarre adventure".

I didn't care for Phantom Blood or Stardust Crusaders either first time around, but on a re-read they're both holding up better. That said, Phantom Blood is still firmly the worst arc.
Lindle May 19, 2012 5:23 AM
Huh. You've read every part of JoJo except 2? Weird ordering.

P.S: 81.9% anime compatibility. Holy shirt.

Nice review of Lychee Light Club. My only problem was your describing it on numerous occasions as ero-guro and yaoi, both of which probably sell this manga short. Granted, you mentioned yourself that it transcends both those genres, but I don't know if it could ever be considered either of those to begin with -- especially not yaoi (granted, MALs genres say otherwise, but MAL is not infallibile). The gay relationship in the manga, while being a driving force behind the plot, is not really much more than a small side story for most of the manga.

I guess I just worry because yaoi is one of those descriptors that can instantly turn a lot of people away, and it's not even close to being the focus of Lychee Light Club. Granted, I would hope most of the people going into a disturbing manga like Lychee Light Club are mature enough that a little yaoi wouldn't bother them, so I probably shouldn't worry so much about it.

You have glorious taste, if you don't mind me saying so. It's rare to find someone I've both a high anime, and manga compatibility with here.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
