I am a Canadian Otaku, proud of it and will never change. I watch a wide span of Anime, not a lot of sports ones cause it can get really predictable, and read a lot of Manga, the chapters.....so many chapters.....
I became an otaku due to picking up a manga, reading it, and going, "I wonder if there are any videos on Youtube (still really new at the time) about this?"
16 Years later and still loving it.
I like a wide genre but I'm almost always open to romance Anime and Manga, weather it be for guys or girls. But I really dislike it when there is no story (this is generic for all genres, not just romance). I need to have my character grow, not just some random jokes every chapter/episode.
I have a really good memory, so good that when I watch the first 1 min or so of an anime series I already watched, I remember the whole series (weather it was 6, 12, 24, or 48 episodes long).
I like to watch some animes with my friends, Hunter x Hunter, while some I like to watch by myself, Strawberry 100%.
I always watch anime with Japanese audio and Eng subs. Only RARELY will I watch with Eng Audio *shivers down my spine* (North America needs to get some really good voice actors for anime dubbing).
I rate every series only when it's been completed and judge on everything (music, story, characters, etc). Initially when I rated, my knowledge of this world was tiny so the rating was weaker (I gave some series' 10's when it should have been 8's). But now I have watched almost a 1,000 entries and read about 500 (not including One shots). So my current rating style now has previous experience topped on. But of course, my Ratings are MY ratings. You might like it more or something, whatever.

All hail the King!
Long live the king!
I'll start with PRAISE THE ANIMATION GODS they are breaking out of their comfort zone. What I mean is that anime is no longer only Japanese works but they are going into Manhua (Chu Feng). This gives numerous options for animators that can finally do something which has an awesome story that is not restricted to light novels and/or manga.
But I digress, I'm here to look over the past year's anime and what's out now.
It looks like a lot of titles that I suggested are getting converted.
Denpa Kyoushi got picked up but unfortunately it's going downwards,
Jitsu wa Watashi wa has me slightly worried but looking good,
Horimiya got an OVA,
All you need is Kill got adapted very well but fell short at the end (need more evil),
and of course Monster Musume got picked up. We have broken out of the basic cat girl, vampires or werewolves, we have ALL the types. With episode 1 looking beautiful and the story following closely to the original we can hope this masterpiece turns out beautifully (I'm a Lamia lover).
We also have gotten another season of To Love Ru Darkness (VMC!!!!), Durarara and Working. I'll also note the One Punch is getting it's adaptation in the fall and Boku Dake ga Inai Machi in the winter. 2015 has been an beautiful year for anime.
With this groundbreaking year I'm guessing that my predicating is going to be even harder now.
But let's get down to it:
Mx0 --- This has been out for almost 10 years, it's got Action, Comedy, Magic, Romance
Dragons Rioting --- We need another Martial Arts anime plus comedy and FAN SERVICE
Midnight Secretary --- Josei, Romance, Vampire
Koe no Kotachi --- A good solid School Life
UQ Holder --- Spin Off from Negima, I only hope they don't screw it up like Negima
Rising x Rydeen --- Super Powers and fan service, we need something to wet our appetite until the To Aru series picks up again (Index, Railgun OR Accelerator)
Re:Birth - The Lunatic Taker --- Let a studio have fun with this, the manga was ok but an adaptation could remake it even better
My final manga suggestion for an adaptation.....
Prunus Girl --- Gender Bender?, Romance, School Life, Shounen
With entering Manhua territory what better way:
Unbalance x2 --- Forbidden School Romance
Special Martial Arts Extreme Hell Private High School --- Martial Arts, Action and Comedy
I know we are all waiting for The Gamer to be adapted but that is a WebToon. However the industry is changing, this means there is a chance. So while we wait, enjoy the year with the new releases and make sure to support those who make art into something more (My local store, CNL, is having 20% off all, there goes my spending money).
it looks like I was spot on with a few of my choices.
Dragon Collection, Kanojo ga Flag and Yamada (Got an ONA).
I also noticed that Akame ga Kiru will be a TV series, hopefully we get an uncensored hardcore version, or the story will be hard to grasp.
So I'm now going to make a few more guesses,
Horimiya --- is a nice School life romance comedy
Sekirei --- A third season would be easy considering how much manga is out
Saito-kun wa Chounouryokusha Rashii --- Sci Fi, School Life, Comedy
Jitsu wa Watashi wa -- Supernatural, School Life, Comedy
Tora Kiss --- Another Sci Fi, Romance comedy. Some nice action scenes to show off a studios talent.
Dragons Rioting --- Martial Arts, comedy, FAN SERVICE
--Denpa Kyoushi and Rising x Rydeen would also be nice.
I really hope that they don't touch UQ Holder until next year. Please don't screw up another Negima.
Now if an industry dares to touch these titles:
Koe no Kotachi --- The hot potato that will bring a new revolution
All You Need Is Kill -- Hardcore action
---Minamoto-kun Monogatari and Monster Musume are still included.
If an industry wants to use some korean Manhwa,
Special Martial Arts Extreme Hell Private High School --- Martial Arts and Comedy.
Let's see what this year has to offer us.
My future guesses of some manga to be anime are:
Rising x Rydeen, harem, fan service, do I need more?
Dragon Collection, only cause we need something to replace the pokemon era.
Kanojo ga Flag o Oraretara, another harem but comedy romance with a dash of sci fi.
Denpa Kyoushi, ..... just read it and you'll know.
Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo, Witches, Romance, Comedy, and this all takes place in High School, Perfect.
If an industry has the balls (being figurative so no sexism reports please):
Minamoto-kun Monogatari, Romance and Kinda harem (but it's not at the same time kinda deal).
Monster Musume No Iru Nichijou, we need a decent monster girl romance, just hope they don't cut corners and give horrible censoring like they do in To-Love Ru.
