Well, she was already sick and used to collapse.
A childbirth was just too much strain on her already weak body

I thought Arslan Senki wasn't written by Hiromu Arakawa, but by another person. Arakawa was just the artist for Arslan, maybe that's why it doesn't live up to her other works.

It is like the first seaon for the first half of the anime. The real thing comes afterwards.
Just sit through than and you are in for a ride :D

I'm really proud of that one despite the number of downvotes it got (probably because I had my fanboy mode on the whole time). And now that I look back it, I'm thinking "Was I high?"

Just read your Arslan Senki's review. Can't say I agree, nor that I don't, I never watched it. BUT, I want to explain you something.

Arakawa IS a goddess. Never you doubt it.
No! It's not this!

Arslan Senki is, in fact, a novel series. It's being published since 1986, has 14 volumes and isn't finished yet. Two decades ago, they even made some OVAs. And there's another manga series, it has 13 volumes. It is Record of Lodoss War's main rival, so to say.

So, the story isn't Arakawa's. Much like Juushin Enbu, she's just drawing the manga and the character designs for the anime. I read Juushin Enbu, and man, it sucks. But it's not her fault too, in fact her work there is as awesome as always.
She IS a goddess, never you doubt it.
