Okay, I wasn't planning to write anything here, but I like to be liked.
My name's Marina
(really?) and I've been watching anime since forever, okay I'll try to be more specific...since early 2000's and I've been reading manga since that same time.
My first manga was
Sakura Card Captors (I still have it in my bedroom) and my first anime must have been Sakura as well, maybe Digimon or Pokemon, DBZ. I really can't be sure about it.
I usually try to escape from the
"popular" and
"mainstream" (I don't really know if someone still use this word, but I like it), so it's kinda hard for me to find a manga that I love, but when I do, I get totally head over heels.
Another important thing I'd like to say about me is that I put a lot of effort in being a
feminist (trully). That's why when I'm going to read a manga, I always look closely into the relationship between the characters (when it has romance, at least) because I don't plan on liking an
abusive relationship (this may relate to the fact that I don't read yuri or yaoi, since they're most likely to have this type of relation).
I give a lot of 10's, but sometimes the grade is lower. Why does it happen? I'll give some points that may have caused this grade.
- the main character isn't well developed or doesn't grow (in terms of making the same mistakes)
- the story is exactly the same as another one I've read from the same author
- the female lead is waiting to be rescued
- the male lead forces his liking into the female lead
- the female lead is strong to the others, but fails to protect herself so the male lead saves her
- the male/female lead doesn't have friends (without explanation)
- the female character doesn't have a meaninful or just has a sexual role
I'll put the other points later. If I remember.
