So I've read your review and it's great.
I like how you talked about "Roundabout", the way they used different parts of the song at the end of different episodes depending on that episode's ending was so well done.
It didn't really end lol it was just like any other episode then it was over. Yea they can pull off the non-ending thing but then it will slowly begin to lose its novelty, like you said when watching the new one.
I can understand that, I just have a weird OCD for dropping things.. it reallllly takes alot for me to say "fuck this shit"
I'm much harder on the "critical gems" here on this site like Monster, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, and Mushishi because they're held in such high regard on this site by the critics here that apparently know what's good and what isn't. In comparison to the praise that they receive, I found those particular programmes rather underwhelming to say the least and it affects my view of the programme negatively. I would say that I should be more "objective," but that would be boring. Reviews are primarily a work of opinion, after all :p
It doesn't really end or have a stopping point, which scares me because if they try to extend it too much it'll lose its novelty.
Yea the system of grading is so faulty. What's the point of having a 1-10 scale if you only use 7-10, just idiotic on their part. Yea I do that with shows I haven't watched in a long time. Nostalgia is the beer goggles of shows.
I feel bad about dropping shows, since I can't give a honest opinion if I didn't bother to finish it. I feel like you can't judge a title if you dropped it. So when I drop something its truly the most horrible titles out there.
Now if only we can get the rest of MAL to realize this so we can stop having a 10/10 for everything lol
The only thing keeping Mushishi from being a 10 for me is that it's inconclusive, which kinda sucks but it's still in my top 10 so that should say enough.
