to be honest, i was thinking about dropping durarara around episode 5, but i continued watching it and started liking it since episode 10. there are a few secrets that shocked me a bit lol. yes, i'm on the second season rn (it's divided into 3 parts, i'm on the second one) and i still don't really like mikado honestly, but i LOVE other characters especially celty, izaya and shizuo.
i'd recommend it, it's not perfect, but i really like it so far:)
Yes, it was great and it had a lot of cool elements. No need to add how detailed it was. It is typical for Satoshi Kon's creations, I mean attention to detail.
If you like that kind of movies or shows, I mean psychological ones, you can also try out other things created by Satoshi Kon. My favorite was TV series called "Mousou Dairinin". I really recommend it. I've been watching animes for over 20 years and I consider it as one of the best shows I've ever seen. :)
About Alfred Hitchcock's movie "Vertigo", yes, I saw it, but it was long ago; although I remember I enjoyed it, especially its aesthetics. Hitchcock's movies in general are very artistic and well directed, however he is not my favorite movie director. I like Stanley Kubrick way more. ;p
Hello again! What's up? I see you have recently added "Perfect Blue" to your list. :-) What do you think about this anime? If you like it, I highly recommend checking out other movies directed by Satoshi Kon. He was a true genius. It is so sad he left our world so soon. :(
hi again
yeah I enjoyed S2 as well even though a lot of people were disappointed. I try and take online critisms of shows with a grain of salt as I feel I miss a lot of their critisms as I am often just thinking at an emotional level. which probably why I have been bad at essays on books/films at school lol.
do you think the same? I still love to hear peoples opinions and discuss shows, however sometimes I think people should try and chill a bit more.
also I see you just watched Perfect Blue, how did you feel about it? I just saw gigguk and cdawg talking about it in their podcast and was gonna try it, you must have listened to their podcast as well lol
I didn't really like ToG tbh. Is Durarara good? I've wanted to watch it
Have you watched the Demon Slayer? I'm gonna start the manga soon
I'm currently watching Toradora, Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo, Kuroko no Basket, Ahiru no Sora and Fruits Basket.
And reading Hajime no Ippo, Berserk and Vagabond

Can you let me know when you're finished with Durarara if you'd recommend it please?
2 of the shows I'm currently watching are seasonal so it's not that bad
Yeah I haven't read them much recently but those 3 are definitely worth a read imo
