Hello, I'm Lucy!
I love all japaneses anime and some others! I usually listen to symphonic metal, but I like other metal music genres! I also have an interest in photograph and I like crime series.
I used to like One Piece about as much as Naruto, but then I grew up. I'm too busy studying Japanese and Suikoden 3 (manga) to keep up with battle shounen.
Other than that, you replied just in time. I haven't used MAL that often this season. Again, I was too busy reading that manga and studying Japanese arduously.
I don't plan to complete kanji, just enough for reading Silent Möbius.
With that said, I haven't used Netflix in years. I quit using it and sailed the high seas ever since. Daredevil was the last thing I really liked from Netflix and their other shows' stories suck. I don't bother with streaming services anymore.
I also have serious doubts that the other One Piece adaptation will ever catch up with that of Toei. I also doubt that Hollywood will ever have the budget to adapt enough chapters in the long run. Hollywood has lots billions of dollars this decade and I doubt that'll change. Besides, I prefer Blockbuster or independent video stores anyway. Blockbuster 2.0 with lots more anime than the old Blockbuster would be a lot nicer.
In the end, I care more about the next game I'll play after studying Japanese and reading Suikoden 3. I'm also more interested in a friend's birthday next month.
A whole other friend of mine is looking forward to Q4 and glad that you are enjoying NCIS.
With that said, I may play with Duolingo after reading Instant Japanese. I may study Portuguese some time after that. Definitely the common language that I found in Ragnarok Online.
I know that Portuguese is a little different than either Spanish or French. German was definitely the hardest language to learn back in high school (very hard among regular HS students; way harder than Japanese). Only honors students could master that language like said North Carolina friend your age.
Oops! I meant winter and I've been typing on an old Samsung which explains the slight grammar mistakes.
Other than that, I'm doing rather well this Q3 or 3rd quarter of 2023. My Japanese 101 or hiragana is improving thanks to this awesome old book. Again, Valkyria Chronicles is awesome and now I have to fight a giant tank.
Once I complete my Japanese courses, then I'll be able to re-read Silent Möbius more comfortably like I did with Digimon V-Tamers and Trigun Maximum.
I heard that the future Gundam SEED movie may be coming out next year. That would be great news for my friend from North Carolina and I can't wait to see some of those veteran Japanese actors return, including Kotono Mitsuishi who everyone knows as Sailor Moon. A tomboy that I know sees Kotono-sama as Misato Katsuragi.
Anime-wise, I do mostly re-watching these days and this old Layzner SPT series isn't half-bad. I still haven't ruled out that older or more original anime deserve to be best. As you can see, I prefer highly experienced voice actors to star in anime.
With that said, I hope that you are having a great summer.
I've been replaying Valkyria Chronicles this month I forgot how difficult the desert turf war was. Would be great if it had Japanese audio so I can how Megumi Toyoguchi, Houko Kuwashima, Atsuko Tanaka and even Takahiro Sakurai performed. All of which are veteran actors.
Another tactical role-playing game that I love that nobody knows about is Zoids Assault. It had a very deep war story and it was more than saving the country of Maroll from an enemy cannon capable of blowing gargantuan cities sky high. It was also about saving prisoners of war and exposing two-timing politicians.
Doing just fine myself and I'm trying to make time for the next Sorcerer Hunters chapter.
I thought about reading Digimon V-Tamers after Sorcerer Hunters.
Some of my friends are dying to watch the future Gundam SEED movie. I hope that Rie Tanaka will write a new song then and Maaya Sakamoto also (I just love Sakamoto-chan's cute little Japanese voice).
Most of my friends grew up with Chobits by the way and speaking of Maaya Sakamoto, I'm thinking of watching an EVA Rebuild movie on her birthday.
Everyone knows that Maaya Sakamoto is popular among the gaming crowd.
Oh! It's no big deal and I don't keep up with all the newer anime, but I am interested in the Tsukihime remake my big Pisces friend told me about. The old Tsukihime OVA series is something that I watched back in 2009.
I checked again and the new Fafner isn't out yet, but I'm sure that it's worth the wait. Still, I was wrong about the new Fafner airing in early 2022.
Yes, Gundam isn't that easy to get into at first like other sci-fi anime franchises. Toward The Terra and Venus Wars are great classic manga to get into.
Hi Lucy, I hope that you are having a great February and I remember watching Madlax last year, it was a decent anime by Bee Train. Followed by Dot Hack Sign and Arc The Lad.
Now I'm re-watching Monster Rancher, but subbed before the third season of Fafner is finished airing. Same artstyle as Infinite Ryvius, S-Cry-Ed, Gundam SEED and Heroic Age. Very good survival sci-fi anime by the way judging from the first two seasons.
Ah yes! I completed that Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin manga and it was nice.
I typically enjoy football as well. My issue with it is that there are rarely any surprises. It's always the same teams every year. I saw that Brazil lost to Argentina in the Copa America. I'm originally from Canada, so ice hockey is a huge sport for me. I'm sure it's almost unheard of in Brazil, but I do know there are some players though. Most people like it when they watch it.
I do. I play guitar, bass, and keyboards. I probably play bass the best though. Besides anime and metal, do you have any other hobbies? Being from Brazil, do you enjoy football (can't remember if I've asked you before)?

V-Tamers is definitely the best alternative universe Digimon story ever.

Xebec should have adapted Sorcerer Hunters in 1999. So yeah! I think that they adapted the series too early.
Even so, they did a great job with Dai-Guard, Zoids and Love Hina in the late 90s
