really like both of them too. Atashinchi got hella eps while ghost stories's dub is the goat. Never heard of kaidan restaurant but would love to watch it. Rn im watching kaiji and fruits basket 2019. Shin chans my all time favorite wonder which could even be at the same tier lmao.
Sheeesh thanks a lot, I've read a couple of them like sweet home and horizon but they're mostly all new to me. Also I actually just finished watching a Korean show about duty after school and liked it a lot, how is the manhwa?
I like thriller, psychological, historical & post apocalyptic stories & stuff that isn't afraid to kill off characters the most I think, but my taste is pretty varied so I'm fine with any as long as it's good apart from BL and slice of life.
Good to know, I found it by chance on mangadex and thought it sounded similar to bastard. There's not much translated yet though. Did you read it in Korean?
I reviewed Monster if that might help: https://myanimelist.net/reviews.php?id=447538
It doesn't seem like a really bad show to me, but like something that fits a particcular taste, also calculate that's a very preliminary review

some shows may have a median score of 8, which is pretty high in general, but you may give it a 4 or a 5.
Why did they give such a low score? Now i'm wondering.
Darker Than Black: Similarly to Monster it has quite a slow pace, though Monster actually seems easier to follow, Darker than Black has quite a similar storytelling style to Neon Genesis Evangelion, so if you liked NGE you might like DTB, for me it was just too confusing
FLCL: Simply i don't like agegap romances, to be more specific, i have no problem with a big agegap between 2 adults, but when it involves younger teens, i just find it creepy
Momo e no Tegami: I just really didn't like the characters, the goblins where annoying, and i didn't think Momo was really well developed, no connection
Castle in the Sky: Didn't like the ending, felt confusing to me
Tokyo Ghoul: Just not my thing, i tried watching it fresh out of watching Demon Slayer, and they have quite similar premises, i preffered the way Demon Slayer did things
It's a lot harder to remember which anime i gave a good score to which don't have a great MAL rating compare to the other way round

It can also be vice versa. You could have given a score like 8 or 9 when the show has an overall median score of 6 or something
Ask away :3
Are their any specific shows you're wondering about or do you just want some random examples?
If there's any specific anime you're curious as to why i scored it in a way just ask
Nice, i used to watch Crayon Shin-Chan as a kid too 😸 That and Fullmetal Alchemist are the anime that got me staying up real late as they were usually on at like midnight/1am on cartoon network
I haven't gone to bed before midnight since i was in 4th grade 🤩
Thanks for putting the time in to show me your scoring system too :3
Sure :3 don't know about putting it in my bio but i'll definitely share something with you here
It's kinda hard to pinpoint an exact scoring system as there's various reasons i'll give out a certain score
10 = I don't belive in perfection, for me a 10 is something that can get me very emotionally connected to it, usually for me the biggest part of what makes a 10 is the characters, how i can connect or relate to them, this paird with an interesting story which sparks my curiousity, so something which it's characters and story are strong enough to make me forget about any flaws
9 = Not too far from a 10, usually stuff which i still really like the characters and story but tends to have pacing issues
7/8 = Anime that either have other flaws other than pacing isuues and/or i have less interest in them, like maybe i like the story/idea but the characters might've not done much for me, or i like the characters but think they could've been developed better
6 = Is stuff i enjoy enough to be willing to complete it, but i don't think it's anything special
5 = Depending on the situation, a completed 5 is something that started off good but ended up disappointing me, where's a dropped 5 is either something i think could have potential but just isn't my thing, or stuff i just find mediocre, maybe it's shallow, or the pacing is a disaster, but with a few redeaming qualities i would've liked to see more of, but the stuff i don't wanna see outways what i do wanna see
4/3/2 = This is when i start thinking something is shit, the lower the score the less i like about it
1 = Things that don't provide me any sort of enjoyment whatsoever, either it bored me to death, couldn't stand the characters, or something in the series just flat out disgust me, then there's the few things that are just plain shit
What about you, what's you're scorring system like?
