I'm Maya, I'm 23, and I like anime and manga, obviously. If you can't already tell, my favorite anime and manga is One Piece. Some of my favorite games are Soulsborne games and souls like games. Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, etc. Oh, and Witcher 3, love it. I also love Genshin Impact and other games, and I mostly play on PS5. I love JPOP and JROCK, but I also listen to other types of music. One of my favorite movies is The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Wes Anderson. Nice to meet all of you who have read all that! I'm pretty shy, reserved, and an introvert in real life...
One Piece is literally peak and the greatest of all time. My journey with One Piece began with the manga a few years ago, and it was a beautiful experience. I read through until the early chapters of Wano because Wano wasn’t finished at that time. After that, I continued with the anime, watching from the start until the end of Wano, and then finished Wano in the manga as well. I'm currently slowly reading and watching the Egghead arc and beyond while also rereading and rewatching certain older arcs and sagas for fun at the same time. Speaking of One Piece arcs and sagas… The Marineford arc/saga is my absolute favorite, an absolute masterpiece and, honestly, the best thing I’ve experienced in my anime and manga journey. Even after Wano, I still believe the Marineford saga is the best. I absolutely love Wano too, and it's up there with the Marineford saga. Every single other arc and saga in One Piece is amazing as well!
Before all that, I used to watch anime way back in 2013. I started with Attack on Titan because, in primary school, Primary 6, my classmates wouldn't stop talking about it. The first episode was traumatizing, but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Then I gradually watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which I consider a masterpiece, and some Kyoto Animation shows like Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, and even K-On.
I took a break during high school to focus on my GCSE O Level exams, but I resumed watching anime in college and discovered One Piece. Throughout all this, I kept track of the anime I watched by writing it down or using my old phone and laptop during high school. I also used AniList but decided to give MyAnimeList a try, and now here I am. It's been a rollercoaster with lots of great anime, and I have tons more planned to watch.
