I think I spotted it in a thread on the Anime UK club here on MAL!
I'm always amazed when I find people that are geographically close to me on the internet, I t's so full of Americans and if not them, than just other big cities.
Hehe, I know what you mean about the break, when summer comes around I find myself going out into the sunshine more often and my anime backlog grows and grows....!
They way the seperate paths cross during the series is very cool like. ^^
I was going to suggest Durarara! if you enjoyed this series but I see you already plan to watch it. :thumb:
Also a good series that does the whole different perspectives approach.
Madarame is a funny guy. Everyone who goes near Genshiken likes him. As well as him being funny, I see some of my self in him, like how he views spending more than a small amount on clothes wrong when he could be spending it on manga/anime instead. I prefer Saki to him because she's something of a tsundere, and everyone loves violent females with a sweet side hidden away, but he's most certainly my second favourite character in it.
It pleases me that yet another person isn't amazing by R2. Back when it was airing, everyone was fapping over even the very poor episodes just because it's Geass. It got to the point where I was made to look wrong for complaining about the episodes after watching them. I liked in the first season how, even though it was over the top, the plot twists made sense and the show didn't come across as a kiddy/perverse anime. And that's why it pissed me off with how the plot twists were illogical, some even repeats of the first season, and the fan service was everywhere in S2. The needless return to the school setting, in an attempt to connect the series with school kids, also pissed me off.
You read my thoughts? You mean the MAL blog posts? I did those for the first 7 episodes. There was some that were very critical, the one post that sticks in my memory being the one where I expressed my annoyance over the surprise submarine that randomly appeared to give Kallen's mecha a midair, Power Rangers style power-up. And talking of the mechas, it seriously pissed me off how normal mechas wee no longer able to even scratch the super mechas in R2, which made tactics pointless because only super mechas could beat super mechas. Don't get me started on how Spinzaku defeated Europe on his own...
Haha. Code Geass' is done so nicely, its a beauty to watch. And i'll be watching Gundam Wing solely as a casual show. Thats why I've seen the art and will still watch it. I mean, i'm gonna be watching the dub, while i'm texting/doing various stuff/kicking back in bed. Not for like, serious buisness, like Code Geass etc.
R2 is getting better, but I dunno, it'll take a few more episodes to decide if its got silly. I prefer the first season but heck; this is enjoyable. I've seen worse shows.
Sorry, I didn't read your PM until just now. Even if I had read it earlier I wouldn't have been able to give you good advice as I'm not sure myself. All I can say is that if it looks too good to be true then it usually is. I wouldn't have gone for it myself.
I see you're watching Genshiken and S2 of Code Geass. What do you think of them so far?
I guess I used the term 'shounen' a bit misleading. What I mean is anime like that and which is all fighty-fighty with no plot development or just fanservice.
As for them... I was a bit stupid to rate Bleach my favourite series. That's all. When I rewatched them, it wasn't as awesome as I thought. It is okay, but it gets a 5 overall

Thought I'd post seeing as though you'd been quiet for a while. :P

This guy has 'LIGHT-KUUUUN' written all over him. (Not you though lol)
I'm really enjoying the Beck anime, but the DVD releases seem to be so far apart. No doubt I'll check out the manga after I've watched it.

I would still watch them, but very rarely now and I find other animes, albiet small ones, MUCH BETTER in my own opinion
