Baccano! was great but I do agree. It was all over the place. The comedy was great, though. Isaac and Miria stole the show for me.
Ghost in the Shell.. hmm I'm mixed. The movie was ok. It was really pretty and had a nice concept, but overall too cluttered. The show was just a cyber punk cop drama. The main arc was really interesting, but overall I think it was just ok. The soundtrack was fantastic, though. I heard the second season is amazing, though, so that's something to look forward to.
Do you generally like sci-fi? If you do I'd recommend it.
I just read the description for Onanie Master Kurosawa. I did not expect that at all, but now I see your joke lol. I guess it's one of those situations where I can't judge the book by it's cover?
Yeah, gore doesn't bother me. I guess I've become desensitized over the years thanks to gaming. :/ I've heard the show wasn't great, but that the manga was so that seems to tie in to what you're saying. All I really know is that he's in some sort of prison that forces him to fight, and that the magic uses the person's blood. Seems pretty interesting, and I always love good emotional scenes. I'll check it out. Thanks. :]
Thanks for the recs. Also, how was Welcome to the NHK? I've been meaning to watch it for some time now.
Right now Berserk is my #4 all time favorite manga, Onanie is #3 and Punpun #2. But I'm not even halfway through Berserk, and I'm already calling it a master piece. It will probably take Punpuns spot by the time I catch up to the latest chapter.
Guts is the DEFINITION of badass. I can say, Berserk is the darkest manga, the most fucked up manga, I've ever read, right next to Gantz (Btw I would highly recommend Gantz, it's just as fucked up as Berserk)
Glad you like Rainbow, it is without a doubt the most underrated anime in existence. I hope you like it :3
What manga is your profile pic from? She's pretty :D
It really is. The animation and soundtrack are superb though imo. I know mugen's dubbed voice is the same as Spike from Bebop. I'm not sure about sub tho. Jin and Mugen work really well together.
Shinsekai Yori is interesting. It starts off like a anime version of harry potter with telekinesis instead of magic, but turns into such a great show. It's not something that hasn't been done in other things before, but the presentation was fantastic. I highly recommend it! It is a bit slow, though.
I see you've completed a good amount of manga. I just started reading manga, myself. Do you have any random suggestions of ones you liked?
My favorite thing about Baccano! is how well done the humor is. I didn't care much for the first episode, but once it really introduced Isaac and Miria in the second, I was hooked. One thing I would recommend it to give the dubbed version a try. I feel like it is one of the few cases where it is better, but ofc that's opinion.
You're about to be at the part where I got addicted in Psycho Pass. Episode 11 did it for me. The school girl arc was crazy.
Also, I see you are watching Samurai Champloo! That's one of my favorite shows, as well. How are you liking it? Nice list design btw
Maybe I just love it so much just because how much I can relate with, especially with the MC.
But do finish it, it's a great anime that brings up many thought provoking themes about society, and life itself. :)
The people on MAL are interesting, though. I suppose because anime draws eccentric personalities together. It's also good research for my novel. ^-^
