The idea of the series itself was to be a typical shounen action (with slight romance plot) about a guy who wants to become strong to protect his friends and loved ones from evil. The story is overused and I knew that it would be unoriginal piece of garbage from the very beginning, but because I do like shounen series I wanted to give it a try.

The real reason why the series made me drop it only after 2 episodes which really doesn't give you time to get known to the series is that all of the characters introduced so far (this includes 2 main characters) are emotioneless doll people.

At first I thought.. hey we have a cool main character who actually isn't a "I'll get strong to protect my friends from harm" type of dude. He seemed deep and bit dark, the lone wolf type guy. But the dude changed in one episode, and in the second episode he was totally a different character. I can't buy that kind of shit. These 2 episodes alone showed that there will be no character developement or if there will be it'll be like that, a guy who is convinced that he must not use his powers and wants to be alone changes to a friendly hero because a girl with orange hair has her parents killed and its so tragic that he must now help her to fulfill her goal. Oh and by the way he is the chosen one...

Seriously.. trying to find any sense in all this shit is like trying to complete 2000 piece puzzle with only 800 pieces. So there is a guy who has emotional problems, he changes his mind and motives for every one who is willing to talk to him for more than 1 minute without vomiting. A nice young high school girl who wants to be a buddy with a total dick dude who has attitude "get lost Im better than you", she doesn't get the hint when the guy says he doesn't give a crap and won't come to a freaking gallery about stones or jewels or whatever. But because the high school girl waits for hours for this dick to come when he said he wouldn't we are able to see a tragic accident that gives us a scene with the dick changing to a good guy.

Okay.. then there is a buttler. Who is willing to help a 10 year old looking girl because her parents were killed and her sister is crystalized. Yup that's the buttler. Then there is a orange haired filthy rich girl who wants to save to world to avenge her parents and save her sister. The rich girl has a tragic past so everyone pities her, aww... well she atleast doesn't know any other pain in her life. She spends alone money like its toilet paper when in the city there must be thousands and thousands of poor people, but she wants her school mates to have a great school life by eating the finest foods. What a complete asshole! I'd like to kill this bitch.. god damnit. Either of the characters won't show any kind of emotions or anything unique about them. Except for being a rich girl who is a total bitch and being a buttler who gives his services to any girl who's parents are murdered, a gigolo I guess?

And what the fuck is with the maid army? Yeah being a maid gives you power to blockade the roads in a city. Yeah that's beliavable right.. Then again maid uniform is a great thing to wear if you want to move comfortably and without much resistance from your clothes.

These characters who are so unbelievably stupid/emotionaless/mental create no kind of possibility to relate any of them. Even basic shounen series which has worst kind of main characters like Bleach atleast made an effort for Ichigo be someone to relate to.

So the characters and plot are surely not the thing that attracts people with this shit. What else might it be? Well I hope it still has some enjoable fighting scenes? Nope, the fights are onesided with a guy who seems almost invincible and is some kind of chosen one, so he'll win the fights regardless of the enemy. I can't enjoy the fight if the main character is only fighting against brainless pawns and we are told that he will destroy all the enemies with his sacred seventeenteenagers powers.

Music? Is there some? Wow I must have missed it while I was concentrated on the great story! If I didn't even pick up a tune or two it really is in the wrong place and doesn't even try to help to create an athmosphere.

Animation! That's good! Well.. it sure is above average. The characters except for the dick looking main characters have nothing new or interesting about them. It's sunrise after all so we see animation that offers us atleast an average level of enjoyment. Nothing good, but above the average slightly.

Enjoyment: I sure enjoyed the maid army! Which seems to have superior power over all defence forces. If a maid wearing girl would come and seal of the road, I'd shout move it bitch or rammed the block. Why couldn't those maids be guys who wear military uniforms? Is the girl in the orange hair that fucking stupid and a baby that she must have 50 maids or she won't survive. Wow.. what a strong character, fuck her tragic past she is a totally useless baby who has been pampered too much time to give her a taste of real life, throw her to lions!


Summary: The story is awful. The characters are idiots and assholes that are shown in the light of being good guys, and they have no emotions and main character is easily manipulated guy who is willing to serve for everyone who gives him jewels and talks to him for 5 minutes. The music, directing, special effects and animation won't offer you anything. They are below average with exception in animation which is quite average. If you really enjoy this show you must be something like 15 and who thinks that Star Wars episodes 1-3 were the best of the 6. For anyone who doesn't need characters or plot or think they are trivial any how this series is ideal, it doesn't have them!

Seems to be more all the time. I know I'm stereotyping when I say that most of them go for the fluffy, cute stuff but it certainly seems so. Personally, I've always been "allergic" to cute. Some are into the more psychological stuff but few dig into the sci-fi and mecha.

Can't believe I'm a chick, huh? lol. I've always been pretty good at messing up stereotypes and presuppositions. ;-) Never did anything just because that's the way it was always done.
