Scores based less on my opinion of objective qualities, but with overall enjoyment, impact, experience, and how much the anime means to me as the final say. High scores are given generously to anime that I think deserve it. Numbering explanation below.
10. Masterpiece: May have affected me somehow, and I'm also usually very attached to this anime, or the experience was in my opinion beyond most, deserving the highest score. Overall an amazing watch and probably a lasting impression in my memories.
9. Great: An anime which goes beyond being merely good in my opinion, deserving a higher score. Beyond most in qualities or enjoyment, it's possibly up there with the best, but doesn't quite reach the highest score. Still usually a very important show to me.
8. Very Good: A very good anime where the experience is beyond most in many different ways, in my opinion. Worth watching, and even an 8 may not be too different a rating from the higher scores.
7. Good: Still very good and enjoyable, but doesn't quite deserve higher in my opinion, though still a recommendable watch. It most likely just isn't important enough to me to obtain a higher score.
6. Fine: Pretty good, and mostly enjoyed it, but with some important flaws, or doesn't reach any heights in my opinion. Maybe a fun but not particularly deep show. Still could be an almost recommendable anime, though anything below this would usually not be.
5. Average: Overall average in quality or enjoyment. Even if it may have some objective qualities, I don't think it deserves higher, and usually do not care for this anime. I do not necessarily think of it negatively, however. It may also be an anime which ended up highly disappointing despite its acclaim or production. Something about this anime makes it merely blend in with the others.
4. Bad: For various reasons, it's not very good or enjoyable. Overall an anime where the bad or mediocrity outshines the good, if there's even any.
3. Very Bad: Almost offensively mediocre in some ways, and I don't want to give this anime any credit. A noticeably poor or uninspired overall experience.
2. Horrible: Even worse, this is practically the peak of bad anime, and every part of it was a substandard experience. I despise this anime for countless reasons, and it usually does not have any truly good points.
1. Appalling: I've never unironically seen an anime at a level this terrible, and if I did I likely wouldn't end up completing it.
0. Unrated: I watched it but I don't remember enough about it to give it a proper evaluation, or I haven't finished it, or maybe there is just no need to assign it a rating.
