I started watching Kimi ni Todoke (even though you recommended it like 7 years ago lol) and I'm in loveeeee. It's just one of those amazing romance animes that gets you from the start T^T

I felt exactly the same about Franxx dude, but from episode 10 the plot really starts to pick up. The character development has also been really good, although I'm a huge Ichigo and Mitsuru fan now haha, I've gradually come to loathe Hiro and Zero Two; the former for being quite bare-bones nice guy I'd expect in a harem anime, while Zero Two seems to exist simply to cause division, I can't say I appreciate her. Interested to hear what you think of episodes 13 and 14, which have really divided the fanbase! The plot is going to a really interesting place, worth sticking with it, for sure.

I agree, nothing that's really captured my interest this season. My friend's been raving about Golden Kamuy, so I'll definitely check that out! Oh nice, I picked up the S;G 0 VN the other day, keen to crack onto it as i loved the original! From the images I've seen, I can't say I'm a fan of the new character designs- hard to believe it's only a what, five month timeskip? Hopefully they'll come to grown on me!

Dude. I started OPP last night, expecting to only read a few chapters... ended up plowing through 11! I haven't been so addicted to a manga since I read Gantz back in 2012-13 hahaha. Didn't think it would be so good right from the start, but it gives me such a strange feeling; the characters feel so real, and I get some good nostalgia from when I was that age. Can't wait to read more, thanks so much for suggesting it!

That's an absolutely fair opinion of DitF, it's definitely overrated by Trigger fanboys hahaha!

Even as someone who loves mecha and Trigger (Kill la Kill is one of my favourite series), I'm kinda underwhelmed by it. Granted, I'm only 3 episodes into it, so I'll withhold from judging it too harshly at this stage, but it doesn't seem to have much going for it besides the mystery of 02 and the sex symbolism of piloting the Franxx, haha! Good to hear there are some good feelsy moments, I just hope it develops its characters well; it needs more than just the ~zany~ idea of piloting the robots, so I'm optimistic it'll get more complex as it goes along.

And yeah, the fight scenes don't really do it for me, either. Again, I'm optimistic they'll get better as the series goes on! So looking like a 7/10 at this stage, but I can see it reaching an 8.5, and have faith Trigger will pull something out of hat!

Yeah it would be tough not having a degree; even though the company I'm (Interac) with doesn't even require you to know basic Japanese, the bare requirement is that you need a bachelor's degree :(

Also Kuzu no Honkai is quite controversial. It depicts romance with imperfect couples. Very unique and more to the realistic sides of things (Yuri, NTR[Cheating], and sex)

Houseki no Kuni and Made in Abyss are definitely worth the watch. For Houseki no Kuni, it may be CGI, but it delivers strongly and it doesn't look bad. Story, action, cinematography , and characters are great. Made in Abyss is a coming of age adventure series where it isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Do not be deceived by the Moe design.

I have thought about Oyasumi pun pun, and I do enjoy my tragedy/depressing stuff. But Oyasumi pun pun looks like something I wouldn't be able to handle. We'll see though. One day I might read it.

Nice stuff, from the looks of things, you certainly enjoyed it ;) It's been way too long since I've read it, but I remember it being an emotional rollercoaster, never expected it to get so dark!

Anime DVDs are so expensive here. I would love to buy everything on DVD but one 12-ep series is like $50 at least :(
I usually stream. If a series is good I'll buy it. I wish crunchyroll had more series on it - I'd probably buy a subscription then!
