It's basically a dystopian sci-fi series known for it's characterization and worldbuilding. It starts off slow and the art style is weird according to some people but I always loved everything about it. I think a lot of the best anime, in general, are coming of age stories but Shinsekai yori is the most interesting and well-developed one.

Lol yeah I loved season 1 but then I was confused because Repeat didn't seem like a sequel then I realized it was on the same timeline as season 1, and it works because it's an episodic SoL. Yeah I'm a fan of those type of anime like NNB, Ichigo Mashimaro, Nichijou, and Azumanga Daioh - they're all so relaxing. And thanks!
