I'm also thinking of watching the recent Gundam SEED movie after reading Silent Möbius QD to see if a semitomboyish friend of mine will love it.
Glad to hear that most of the veteran seiyuu reprised their roles, including Rie Tanaka.
If Capcom weren't so creatively bankrupt, then Rie-chan would reprise her role as the sexy demon Morrigan. At least Sunrise gave her a role to reprise.
Yes, Maaya Sakamoto and her husband Suzumura-san also reprised their roles. The whole FF7 fanbase knows them and what they do.
Another anime that I really plan on watching is the 5th Tenchi OVA as of late. I dropped War On Geminar (I can't stand the isekai genre; especially those dreadful LN adaptations oversaturating the anime industry; written for kids) and GXP because they suck. Tenchi Muyo without Tenchi Masaki starring just isn't right. No Tenchi Masaki starring equals into the dropped list it goes.
Other than that milady, my Japanese is showing further signs of improvement. Good enough for understanding Brad Evans' story, able to understand this soldier boy (man actually) better than old yaoi shippers that put words into Akifumi Kaneko's mouth in the late 90s. In their dreams! Caina is the only gay guy in that retro game.
Brad Evans should have gotten a medal of honor for saving Filgaea from a reality warping space monster or get promoted to lieutenant.
I might use it after reviewing a bunch of screenshots that I took from Nihongodera and Word Reference. Sometimes, I copy and paste such characters from Chinese Wikipedia articles, Word Reference, Pokémon Database, etc to Nihongodera (not sure how old it is, but it's my absolute favorite online dictionary). Yes, for kanji mastery.
Before I found Nihongodera, I was learning basic Japanese from Boyé-sensei's Instant Japanese book. He said that sō desu (the real yes) should be used instead of hai which could mean "pardon me" or "I'm listening".
Other than that, Oxford's Japanese verbs and grammar book has been very helpful too.
Grandia HD has been very exciting and unlike other games of its respective genre, the combat is less repetitive. I wonder when part III will be remastered. All I know is that Wild Arms 2's story won't be as confusing in the long run. It'll also improve my Japanese reading or vocabulary more in the long run.
Several JRPG Youtubers have had a problem with the Sony translation of Wild Arms 2. Too bad the Twilight Venom anime is standalone with no real connection to that underrated gem. Still a good story with an amazing dub (I love Mirabelle's voice; too bad her American actress kind of retired after marriage).
I don't watch dubbed anime unless it's for nostalgia or if it aged really well.
Again, thanks for responding milady.
Long time, no speak milady and how are you doing this month? 2024, but not Year of the Dragon yet.
I was also wondering what you think of Grandia.
I've been studying Japanese since last summer and I can't wait to replay Wild Arms 2. Thanks to Sony and their poor efforts of translating it all wrong.
I also look forward to slowly reaching the Silent Möbius QD finale while learning more Japanese.
