10 - Over the top (Rare masterpieces that take me to a new horizon or precision strike all my weak points.)
9 - Masterpiece (Usually the top score, something exceptional or the best of the best)
8 - Outstanding (Where a show really starts standing out from the rest regardless of genre.)
7 - Excellent (Succeeds at what it does AND stands out from it's peers somehow)
6 - Great (Completely succeeds at what it tries to do, but a lot of other shows do quite similar things)
5 - Very Good (most of these have some quality that really shines and not really any critical flaws)
4 - Good (Thoroughly entertaining or has some quality that gives it an extra push, but hardly flawless)
3 - Pretty Good (but over-all nothing special or anything to write home about)
2 - Sub-par (maybe even decent, but it's just not quite there somehow)
1 - Bad (not good, not necessarily devoid of any good qualities though)



no score - Either I just haven't felt like putting one, or something is difficult to put a score on, typically short stuff / MVs etc.
Favorite shows have a ☆ on them. :3
Dropped doesn't necessarily mean bad, just that it got out-prioritized.

Of course, with all the factors going into a show's score, my small descriptions here are very generalized and has lots of exceptions, it's to a very large degree a gut-feeling thing, right? ;=w=)

I don't really like to use MAL's suggested scoring guidelines much, this gives breathing room to score the goodness of a show instead.
(A system where 5 and below is bad and 5 is supposed to be average also kinda assumes that half of the anime is bad, which just doesn't line up with my experience. I also have little interest in degrading and emphasize how bad an anime supposedly is, which I feel like those bottom scores are often otherwise used as. Maybe I'm just not that picky, as I enjoy pretty much every anime I watch to some degree. `3`)
