Reading manga and watching anime has been one of my biggest hobbies for over ten years. I have a small but constantly expanding collection of merchandise and love attending conventions and even sometimes cosplaying! ^_^
I'm a hopeless romantic at heart, so I love shipping especially tsundere couples - in fact, that's one of the main reasons I watch anime. Some girls like to watch chick flicks; I prefer a good anime with cute couples. Or any couples. Or no couples. (I'm perfectly content with headcanon.) I also really enjoy fanfiction and spend a lot of time both reading and writing it.
I'm an avid reader, so I will not watch an anime without reading the manga counterpart too if the anime is based off one. I like to finish the series that I'm on (including OVAs, movies, sequels, and specials) before I start a new one, which is part of the reason I've only seen a pitiful fraction of the anime on my list. I'm also a total canon freak, so I hate fillers (but who doesn't?).
I like good anime, regardless of popularity. If it happens to be popular, great! If it doesn't, great! I see no reason to love or hate mainstream anime just because it's mainstream. Most of what I've seen/read is very popular, which stems not from a bias on my part but rather from my tendency to check out anime I hear the most about first. My thinking is that (most of the time) it doesn't get popular for no reason! I will always love Fairy Tail no matter what anyone says, haha.
If you have a recommendation for me, I'd love to hear it! I'm open to any and all genres (except explicit hentai), but I tend to like shounen and seinen psychological, action, fantasy, horror, and paranormal best, if that gives you any idea of my interests. :) I'm rarely on the site itself (I usually use the mobile app), so if phantom anime/manga keep appearing, that's why. Feel free to send me a friend request, although it may take me a while to accept!
