Looks like next year will be the year of Shin Megami Tensei and maybe, we might get the fifth installment of the franchise. Pokemon's days of coattailing SMT's monster vs monster concept are pretty much over with all the fans being like all "WTF?!" at Gamefreak's latest installment. They also lied about Armored Evolutions before Sword and Shield's release date. I saw no such thing. Way to please your fans Gamefreak, the joke's on them. *nods head*
No way in hell am I paying 60 dollars for their gen 8 installment which is still a vanity project and and incomplete fool's errand.
Digimon Survive's release date is delayed, but I hope the upcoming Year of the Ox will finally be its year.
Btw, Black Nerd Comedy on Youtube was the guy who mentioned that Green Lantern is getting its own series. I like Ryan Reynolds as GL and the movie he was in itself, but I can't expect Ryan to be in everything. He's not a full-time stuntman or anything risking broken bones or injuries to entertain people.
Oh yeah! Esai Morales' Slade and the way he portrayed the dark character in Titans was different compared to Teen Titans, but he still feels like a killer on the loose. Teen Titans' Slade was impulsive and manipulative or pure evil, while still cowardly.
I'll get HBO Max, eventually! when those new superhero shows other than Doom Patrol season 2 come. I hope Swamp Thing will be brought back from the dead too since plenty of people want the show to return.
Afaik, Disneyland is overrated as fuck. Who wants to pay 25 dollars for a hot dog? and they don't recycle, I know common folk do. The price of flying to Florida (no point in taking a plane this year), Disneyland's ticket and their food altogether aren't worth my time. Mulan huh? well, I don't think that the remake will have the same magic. I rather save that extra 30 bucks for a cheap copy of the original Mulan on Blu-Ray.
On the bright side, I'm almost done with the Street Fighter II V anime that I have on Netflix. I binge-watched it on Netflix as I eat on my dinner table. I could re-watch Iron-Blooded Orphans that's on Netflix, but later.
I would get wine as soon as I get balloons, a 2 1/2 gallon water bottle, some fruits (watermelon, pineapple or raisins), DIY brewer's yeast and of course, water. I figured out how to get yeast at home in case I go off the grid. Anyway, I'll wine and dine to anime later.
Oh! and as for Crunchyroll, it's back to normal, except for the PMs, but whatever! There is also news of AT&T wanting to sell Crunchyroll to Sony. I don't think CR would be completely different from a technical standpoint in the hands of Sony. If for some reason T-Mobile were to buy Crunchyroll, then it would be interesting to see how T-Mobile could handle the service.
Even a 3 year-old can tell that it's a cashgrab so we can come to conclusion that we should forget about bringing that movie to a kids party, even if it's bootlegged. One day preschoolers will be like "Tangled what?" or "Elsa who?". xD Frozen characters would make fine, smashing piñatas though. So smashing that I would happily wreck one for the kids by all means. :D Throw in a piñata resembling the Disney CEO too so I can swing one at this cardboard (as in flat, boring and one-sided) face.
I had a long day at work, but it was okay. The weekend got me working on my first attempt at charcoalfying Iron Man. It wasn't easy, but I finished it already, whew! Hard, but action sells right next to sex.
I love Daredevil btw and Punisher season 2 was okay compared to season 1 which had a brutal or bloody finale with some screaming (whoa! so graphic). I couldn't believe that Daredevil season 4 got cancelled for a moment, but at least it was a blast. :)
I hope the new Green Lantern show will be something cool if not amazing. I'll wait as I watch X-Files, Sons of Anarchy (forgot that it had a GTA 4: Lost and Damned sort of feel), Doom Patrol, a later season of Samurai Jack and some anime.
As for Titans, I hope season 3 will be at least somewhat exciting long after watching Blackfire appearing to be up to something. Rocky introduction? yes! but still cool (Warner picked the right guy for Slade). I would rank it in 4rd place as the best superhero show on Netflix. 5th place would be a two-way tie between Defenders and Umbrella Academy, neither of which are as dark though. Sometimes I wonder how Daredevil got so dark, like Logan dark.
Yeah! and Battle Angel Alita was also refreshing compared to Hollywood adaptations of video games or the dreadful Dragon Ball Evolution. Netflix a mixed bag? more like all of Hollywood is a mixed bag. The GITS movie with Scarlett Johansson was okay, but it doesn't compare to Battle Angel Alita which proves that protagonists don't always need to be casted by household names.
As for Titans, not the best, but it's refreshing overall when compared to those dreadful Netflix originals with sex and nudity all over the place from last year. Refreshing when compared to the dreadful Iron Fist too and my dad thinks the writing in this half-assed Marvel show is bullshit. Action sells, yes! but not this junk. Stan Lee would have never anticipated in this Hollywood garbage either. He would have fallen asleep if he watched this wasted effort of crap that a bunch of dumb Disney and Netflix guys made together too. Proves how hypocritical Disney is, like about them openly implying that they can do superheroes easily compared to the likes of FOX, Sony or Warner. So yeah! Iron Fist was their wild goose chase even without the Netflix guys involved.
Sadly for Hollywood, a lot of their shows on Netflix are still boring. Some time ago, I watched this one movie with Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning called Push, but after watching it, I was like "okay?". Some time after that, I put on Indiana Jones, which I haven't watched in forever, and forgot about that mediocre movie. Chris Evans having wasted potential in that movie most would call box office trash. Even Sony's Ghost Rider is more memorable than that and it just happened to come to the platform.
Apart all that, my raw vinegar is awesome and I used it to regulate blood sugar or prevent diabetes (the disease that Elise as of late may struggled with and no Fruits Basket remake for her anytime soon) and bleach my clothes without having to separate them based on colors. Distilled vinegar? screw that overpriced shit! I don't even see the point of distilled water anyway. Raw is better and distilled vinegar is hot garbage. Oh! and pickle juice rules, screw Gatorade! just another word for liquid candy.
Sure! the flavor of Gatorade rules, but I don't need to take sugar regularly and I choose life over candyland. Candyland is for the fatties with chocolate all over their faces. xD
Update: my younger sis hates Teen Titans Go too and said that it's a Hollywood cashgrab, but for 4 year-olds.
Yeah! and adapting Faye to live-action sounds more confusing than I thought, but Hollywood better get her personality right.
Hollywood should have also given Starfire in Titans a more spunky personality like in Teen Titans, but okay. I also would have preferred a more gloomy or melancholic live-action Raven, but I guess she's based on the timid Raven that lived deep in the character herself (she reminds me more of FOX's Rogue than the animated Raven). Beast Boy is almost the same funny shapeshifter in live-action. It's kinda odd that Superboy in Titans is cool yet confused, while the one in Young Justice is either angsty or grumpy and rebellious.
With that said, I'm doing okay. I also got a lot of vinegar this season.
I got an Iron Man drawing and an almost complete drawing of the Cowboy Bebop crew, manga-style. Seriously, Iron Man is more complex than anime characters, especially the way Tony's armor is engineered. So much luster, wow! and I don't have 20 dollars for a set of white charcoal pencils, which are 3 per package. So I'll use my soft pastel pencil from Dixon or a kneaded eraser for all that shine. Gundam models and cars are a piece of cake compared to Iron Man.
On the other hand, I thought of buying those Sakura gel pens, which are white plus really cheap, so my pen drawings will be easier and I can draw like a comic book artist. Everyone knows that graphic novel are cross-hatched not smudged.
As for Mimi, she's doing better than I thought over there in North Carolina. I would have recommended her a 4G dongle hooked up to a TV antenna or recycled satellite so that she won't have to pay for Comcast cable shit anymore. I would love to get my hands on a 2 km optic fiber spool (cheaper than a 400 yard spool of coaxial cable) so I can build a phone mast like some old English farmer on another article. Not just an old farmer, but a retired phone technician.
Ah yes! and I remember when Comcast used to rip off everyone that I know.
I'm not going to watch Fire Force second season, because I didn't like the first one. I don't know about The Misfit of Demon King Academy and the The God of High School. This summer I'm not planning to watch airing anime, at the moment I prefer to complete the series I have on hold, eh eh.
Oh, I didn't know about it, I'm watching That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime OAD and I didn't know when the next episode would be available. I will surely watch it. :)
Thank you, hope you had a lovely week. :)
Here it is hot but also nice!
As for Dragon Quest, I've yet to play XI, but DQ Swords was fun and arcady. Other than that, this franchise is better than Pokemon and I would tell Gamefreak to give me super gen II starters (fuck Charizard! I want a dragon Meganium or a super fiery, volcanic Typhlosion with balls) or GTFO. Even so, DQ games are getting better, especially when FF and Pokemon games become niche.
As for Netflix, I'll use it until the big or complete HBO Max content comes with all the DCAU shows and Toonami stuff (Mimi would love to re-watch Gundam SEED on HBO Max if that's possible and she's a huge Gundam nerd). I heard that the Japanese Netflix has a lot of anime, but I would probably just re-watch anime that I already know about on the Japanese version of Netflix like Stand Alone Complex (likely to appear on HBO Max eventually).
2020 in general sucks, in fact, almost every other Year of the Rat sucks. So much entertainment put on hold so far because of what those dumbass Chinese did (no wonder I like Japan more than that filthy, racist, brainwashed and backwards country claiming to be the future superpower). Even the new Captain Harlock anime and Star Blazers movie have been delayed because of China, the melting pot of mutating diseases. So yeah! nothing really good comes from the Year of the Rat and China sucks.
With my rant on the current rat year aside, I'm doing fine after drinking pineapple juice and watching a some Fullmetal Alchemist or playing FF6, the game Sakaguchi made back when he helmed Final Fantasy. Now that he left Square Enix, the company proved to be exclusively good for Dragon Quest. So many franchises, but only good for DQ. Kind of reminds me of Disney as of late, only good for Marvel movie things.
