Your Steins;Gate review was on point. Probably the most overrated anime of all time. My guess is that weebs like it so much because they can relate to the retarted cast and the sad part is that weebs currently are the majority of anime community.
Steins;Gate show did everything right in terms of making itself relatable to the anime community but overall was a very mediocre series. Nowhere near a masterpiece as everyone says it is.
> It is impossible in that it breaks the fundamental law of our constructed universe - that nothing, without exception, travels faster than light. We have already built man made chambers that accelerate charged particles to very near the speed of light
No, it's not like that. The law states that nothing can accelerate to the speed of light and/or exceed it (because in that case the mass would become infinite), but it has nothing to do with stuff that moves faster than light from the very start (and, in turn, cannot move slower than light).
And even then, the things are not that simple: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faster-than-light https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_travel
S;G basically takes one of the modern theoretical time-travel concepts and plays with it (the original VN does a lot better job on it though).
Note, that I'm note arguing on your S;G review. Freedom of opinion and all that, whatever.

Though that may be true, reviews are meant to be an objective analysis of quality. What this guy did was verbalize subjective ignorance.
