Wish me luck. I'm heading down to Disneyland with the family and will be gone until Memorial Day. I'm going to miss a lot of the anime episodes for a while; this season has been good so far.
I remember you mentioning Yuyushiki. From the sound of it the anime appears to be one of the most masterfully crafted artistic works of the year. Certainly more cleverly handled then the stuff I was watching. I'd say that's a fine pick for number three. Can't say it would be one I would watch, but that's usually because I prefer to avoid psychological anime; they're often depressing.
I'm not sure I would have put Shingeki no Kyojin at #1 either, though I couldn't say what #1 would be for myself. It is one of my all time favorites for the year; I'm sure I would have chosen it for #1 if there had been more to see.
I'm not surprised to see your #1 pick. Maybe this is evidence that the traditional popular genre is swinging the other way and the audience is looking for some relief from the mecha/murder/politics hypes of previous seasons. Personally I don't think I invest enough time in casual interaction to enjoy a series like this (I could be wrong. but generally not). Maybe it's because we're crazy digital age Americans that can't sit still for five minutes.
Lol, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, I think I avoided that one because I knew how it would go. Otherwise it would have been one I probably would have watched. I haven't started Log Horizon yet but hope to once I wrap up the series that ended these last few days.
There is never necessary fanservice. I would be happy to discuss it in more detail, but for now I'll just ask, was the "Reason" written by a woman?
I personally enjoyed Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Too much fanservice, but it was fun action and a new sci-fi concept.
eh i did for 3 years but i quit about 5 months ago. it's stupid and gross lol :P and expensive! don't really know why i ever started in the first place. and geez you go to starbucks every day?! xD you don't brew a big batch at home or something? and hmm i see that's on my plan to watch list, i guess i'll have to check that out soon then :D
hmmm well at least it isn't cigarettes those are waaaaaay too expensive... how much coffee do you drink a day lol? and are there any animes you're into now that you could recommend ^-^) ?
oh snaaap you are hella the hermit of the hill :D and i sort of rotate interests. last week i was into golfing video games and playing wii, now im back on anime, next week will probably be manga, then maybe dating games after that LOL i've been practicing drawing now and again but i lack motivation. what about you??
damn i wish this website gave me notifications! i've been great! i'm a total hermit now but still great :D how have you been? what have you been up to?
I'm back home for the moment, so I have less down time during the evenings to watch and read, but I think several hours per week should keep me in good enough stead to keep the novel fresh. I do wish I had started it earlier back when I had the part time job, but spending too much time on it would probably be bad for my focus anyway lol. I need to remember previous information after all. Also, on a side note, I love the comments in the character bios, especially how the narrator calls Battler a jerk.
So they would have gone through 13 episodes to die like that? If it's an Evangelion style ending I'll be mad; either you kill everyone off or don't kill anyone...important at least. I can't figure at this point how everyone would die, unless Yamato goes nuts and kills them all.

I wanted to do something Monogatari themed, but the google pictures for that were just a bit too risque. Merry Christmas Frank!
How's Danganronpa?
