Introduction:
Hello there, friend!
We at the Australian & New Zealand Anime Club are proud to present... Our very first newsletter!

This community was founded on the 28th of January - 2015, and since that time we've come a very long way.
You are only reading this because YOU made it possible by being a very important piece of what makes this club what it is.

That said, we are happy to announce that we're coming close to reaching the 1,000 Member Milestone!
It's a wonderful thing to know that there are so many fellow Aussies and Kiwis who love Anime and we hope that we only continue to grow from here on out.

About the newsletter:
So you might ask, what's this newsletter all about?
Well, great question. We've scratched our heads a few times and figured that this newsletter will be dedicated to letting you know that we're active!

Despite the substantial growth of our club, there is still a handful of you that we still haven't had the pleasure of getting to know.
We want you to understand that this is a safe and fun club, but if you're shy then we're not going to force you to participate, this is simply to remind you that there is a place for everyone at this club, so if you ever warm up - come and say hi!

Here's what's happening right now:
We have a wide selection of club activities that you can participate in, from anime discussion to club games or casual conversation.
Anyone in the club is free to make up whatever thread they feel would interest people!

What we hopefully have planned for the future:
GFX Competitions, Giveaways, Club Member of the Month, Gaming Groups and more!

So, other than that, there isn't much to say this time around but hopefully the next time we have to do this, there is much more to look forward to.
We again are thankful to have you, and hope that you come and have some fun with us sometime soon.

- Yours truly,
The Australian & New Zealand Anime Club.

Yep, I like some of Riajuu's other albums on there too. Like I said though, hit and miss. Nekophiliac is probably a lot more noisy. Slower album by him if you're interested.
Sasuke May 13, 2015 12:33 PM
Same here. I thought it'd be great because of all the good things I heard about it, but it's really just the scenery that was interesting.

I got way into niche genres a while back so I've been listening to breakcore, lolicore, and all that nonsense that you can find on bandcamp for free. Lolicore is really cool because it's often hit and miss. Some of it is really fucking terrible, but there are people like Riajuu and Nekophiliac who make awesome stuff. Probably still an acquired taste though. If you go looking into older stuff you'll probably burn your ears out.

I need more post-rock in my life. I found this a while back: https://52commercialroad1.bandcamp.com/album/a-wreck-provides-an-excellent-foundation-2010. In Floods and Droughts is my favorite from it.

I've heard very little of Matryoshika. It seemed like something I needed to be in the mood for, so I'll try it again. Yeah, actually, after listening to that I like them. Still something I need to be in the mood for.

Nice, Stella's my all time favorite too. I haven't watched The Garden of Words yet, but I think I've listened to the soundtrack since I've listened to a lot of his stuff. I don't mind either way. My music taste is all over the place. Got a last.fm that I can dig through?

Think I'm going to start watching Kekkai Sensen then. People keep telling me to watch it.

The first song in NeoTokyo's OST made me think of Paranoia Agent a bit. Mostly the end of this song. It's really good, thanks for the rec.

Do you like World's End Girlfriend? Seems like you might, but I dunno.
Sasuke May 10, 2015 10:31 PM
Stella on your about me—you're my new best friend. Any recommended OSTs?

Thank you! I've seen the second season and it was great. I can't wait until the new Fate Stay Night comes out :3

Most people don't even recognize their own accent. Like, if you talk to foreign people about their accent they'll be all like, "Oh what accent? I don't have an accent, I talk normally." ._.

Stereotypical Australian accent is still heaps better than ANY type of American accent.. ugh...

<3 (I had to ask my aussie friend what "glassing someone" was)
Shanira Dec 29, 2013 6:25 PM
Yes!! Yes they are! It's like:
1. British
2. Australian
Shanira Dec 29, 2013 5:49 PM
I will find you, and I will hear your accent
It’s time to ditch the text file.
