The thing is that people are now herocising (is this a word?) the geek. This is the generation of the nerds. It's the cool thing now, like how greasers and jocks were the cool thing when our parents were young, I guess.

I personally strike an anime down for every time it mentions the word "tsundere". Just, I can't handle it any more. Self-aware was cool the first few times. Not every time.

Kuragehime is sadly one of those shows that will be buried under the fan-pleasing mindlessness of other anime that were released that year. It was a josei-wonder and a shame that it wasn't continued for a second season or really made much of an impact. Female otaku are only really enjoyed when they basically are male otaku with breasts.
