You must watch Kuragehime, sometime in the future. I'm watching Tegamibachi season 2, Bakuman (so awesome but I can't be bothered to read the manga which is probably even more awesome), Shinrei Tantei Yakumo (this isn't awesomely good, but I'm hoping the climax will be better). Need to catch up with Shiki and Katanagatari.
It doesn't have the senpai-kouhai relationships, only 4 girls doing nothing much in a beautiful town. I don't think the characters are based on real life relationships. It's more like the director has a few favourite seiyu he uses often (2 of them were also main characters in Umimonogatari, the other 2 were main characters in Mayoi Neko Overrun which he directed 1 ep of).
So, my rant will now begin. They went to Takehara (in Hiroshima) on Oct 10. They had a talk show and there was a live performance of the ED by Nakajima Megumi accompanied by Nakajima Nobuyuki who does the OST. Some photos here and here. There were many publicity campaigns. A ferry was wrapped with pics of the characters. The 4 main seiyu got to be either mayor, head of fire dept, head of education dept or captain of the ferry for 1 day. There was a tie up with 1 of the okonomiyaki restaurants where they had a special Tamayura okonomiyaki and Tamayura desert (which are both designed by the 4 main seiyu). There was a photo display of photos taken by various seiyu and staff. There were random goods (like coffee and alcohol?).
And now that I've started, I might as well rant about Asumi Kana and Iguchi Yuka. They were friends from way back, when they made their seiyu debut. And they are also very interesting radio show hosts, and they happen to have radio shows back to back on Monday evenings. They mention each other pretty much every ep of their radio shows, it's so funny.
What a wonderful coincidence (coincidences remind me of V for Vendetta. We watched that in our residence on Fri night, which was also Nov 5)! I didn't hear them at all this year (although Nanri Yuuka had a small role in Mayoi Neko Overrun but I obviously didn't even notice). Nanri Yuuka has started her solo singing career (I trust you know about that? It doesn't make much difference because Kajiura Yuki still composes her songs, she just releases them under her own name and not FictionJunction).
I think that's enough ranting for now. I must start studying.
So, Kuragehime. It's awesome, I think you'll like it if you like comedy.
I see you've watched Tamayura ep 2! I'm crazy for it because...it's been a long time since I watched slice of life that isn't based on school life? And partly because the 4 main seiyuu are very good friends. And everyone loves the director, it's hilarious. It's such a happy anime in many different ways. I could keep blabbing on about the seiyuu and the events they had in Takehara (the place where the setting of the anime is based) but I understand you might get bored.
Here's the big news: Kalafina are releasing their first live DVD/BD on Dec 1st! *cheering and shouting* It will be of their Red Moon live in June in JCB Hall, Japan.
One more thing about the upcoming winter anime season: you might be interested in Houroumusuko, by the same mangaka of Aoi Hana. The cast has 2 rather interesting people, Nanri Yuuka and Chiba Saeko! They seem to be coming out of nowhere.
Konnichiwa~!

Are you going to frame that shirt? Cus, if you dont the markings will probably fade away. Do you have any pictures of Kalafina? If you do you have to show me!
