I believe I visited Nagoya as a 8-9 year old as a class field trip. I remember it being a long bus trip haha. Luckily we had those nice travel buses. Seeing your location reminded me of it.
As another random comment, I lived in a military installation in Misawa (Misawa Air Base) as kid for four years. I liked visiting Hachinoe and Lake Towada while I lived in there. I regret not going to the Snow Festival in Sapporo for a 6th grade class trip. My family and I ended up moving out of the country and back to the U.S. before I had the chance to go on the trip. Regardless, it was an enriching experience living in Japan, and I still have fond memories of my time there.
