Well, that is in a way my point, a horror for the psyché is too a valid take on horror manga, one that is arguably harder to pull off without ending with something that is only edgy without a point. You could call it a different sub-genre, but it is still a horror (and if you want to get technical, guro manga literally is a sub-genre).
What is fear if not a sense of disturb? Being scared, being anxious and being disturbed are all kinds of fear. Towards which of these kind a horror strives is a choice of the creator (though for anxiety it's usually a thriller work, not necessary a horror).
I guess my point is that "not at all completely bad" and "2/10" seem a bit mutually exclusive. If you found the work at least somewhat interesting, you should give it some of that credit, even if it wasn't what you expected it to be.
